Stay-at-Home Equalization with Alexey Molchanov | Molchanovs Freediving

Published 2020-03-24
This equalization practice will help you to develop better control over the muscles involved in equalization and improve your equalization for future dives if practiced on a regular basis. Alexey provides options for all levels of freedivers and availability of props including a balloon and equalization (EQ) trainer. With Alexey Molchanov, World Champion Freediver, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Molchanovs.

We are encouraged to stay at home. That doesn’t mean we can’t continue our freediving practice. Freediving is not merely happening in the water. There is so much we can practice from home that will improve our performance in the water. Let’s embrace this time of solitude to create new routines and ways of living. In the face of solitude, community carries on.

---

The Molchanovs Mission is to share our love of freediving with the world. We do this by cultivating the level of knowledge and skill of all freedivers, by building global and local communities that fuel passion for freediving, and by developing gear that provides the best freediving experience possible.

Our inspiration, Natalia Molchanova, is one of the greatest and most decorated freedivers in history. She was a passionate educator and a role model to many in the freediving community. Molchanovs is firmly rooted in her philosophies and approach to freediving, and is continuously updated with the latest developments in education, technology, and scientific research. We are inspired and honored to have had Natalia as our inspiration. Without her, the Molchanovs Movement would not exist today.

Thank you for sharing Alexey. Great video! What could be even better - some visualization of what you are doing with muscles involved in equalization.
  • Great video, but as I am watching this I realized how many gold metals are back there on the wall and just... wow.

Molchanov I have another problem. I can't lock up my soft palate, thus my nose is constantly "auto-equalizing" and my mask leaks. Any tips? Many thanks!

  • @lucyoriginales
Do you sometimes try to get some air from your arms and legs? 😂 I do... sometimes it works.. like you can squeeze them to get bubbles ☺️ 😂 But then you get involuntary movements of your arms and legs lol 😂... also not pleasant 😂
  • @lucyoriginales
Lol! 😂 I don’t have an urge to breathe.. but rather what stops me is this urge to pee 🤭☺️😂 It’s so annoying ☺️
