Hey everyone!! Just wanna post a quick update. YouTube is making me re-edit the video a bit and trim a section. So this video is going to be altered a bit from now on. I do apologize for the change. Usually I don’t get affected from my AJR videos but this one got hit pretty hard. I hope you all understand and once again, I apologize for the inconvenience.
  • I really appreciate that you acknowledge and respect that even though their music is not to your taste; others find joy in what they produce. As a long time fan of the band, it’s nice to hear someone that doesn’t just slate them for the sake of it.

I just finished listening to the entire album, and for me personally, I actually loved it. Maybe it's just because I relate to a lot of the songs so I'm biased, maybe my music taste is of lower standards compared to most of the other people in this comment section (or even as a fan in general, I've seen plenty of people call the album "alright" already), but this album is as good as OKO or even better in my opinion. I cried a couple times honestly, and I'll be re-listening to the album for a while. Inertia and Maybe Man made me the most emotional, and I put them up there with The Dumb Song and God is Really Real as my favorites

I'm not gonna lie, even when you dislike this stuff, I just love how kind and respectful you are about everything and to everyone. Its really sweet. I watched Brad's stream earlier and he just kinda shat on it for 2 hours— valid, sure, but it just kinda was hard to watch. I like this album a lot, they've gotten a lot more diverse with their production in my opinion. I hope you come around to a song or two on here, like Inertia.

AJR has improved on their writing drastically...and that's saying something considering as someone who enjoys a lot of what AJR puts out, writing is their worst component. For me, "Maybe Man" (Track 1) and "2085" (Last track) are my favorite off the album. They bring emotion that wasn't on their other albums, not a fan of the ending of Track 1, but I like everything leading up to it, as well as the ending of "2085." Something unique which you sort of mentioned was the fact that the first and last track callback. However, they also actually loop. If you play the ending of 2085 right before the "pandemonium" part of the first track, the ending of 2085 picks up right where "Maybe Man" left off. Kind of cool in my opinion. As for the rest of the songs...wow do I agree with you. In terms of production and vocals, this is their best album. You can just hear the production quality increase. The instruments are more crisp, the vocal range on Jacks vocals have increased/improved. Steve's Going To London and Inertia are some of my least favorite tracks AJR has ever put out. When the bridge in Steve's Going To London starts...yikes. Inertia reminds me of Pinocchio for some reason. The "My two legs are broken, but look at me dance," just reminds me of Pinocchio for some reason, and the whole song sounds like a circus...literally lmao. The Dumb Song, imo, is my favorite track, or one of my favorites. Not very overproduced. Even Brad gave that song a shrug, every other was a red-headphones lmao. God Is Really Real is still one of my favorites too. I can't not like It, especially since It's not overproduced, lyrics are good, meaning is heartful. I think the main issue was AJR overhyping the album for something that was just slightly better in terms of production. The fact that this was a 0/12 album is honestly crazy. Listening back though, there wasn't much for you to like being perfectly honest. The songs you liked on the previous AJR albums were very different than this album. This is more of a folky album, while the others seemed to be a John Bellion copy, or a Tyler Joseph rip-off. Hyperpop, etc. This album used way more real instruments (applaud to that), and had more of an acoustic sound. Regardless, great reaction as always. You didn't just shit on it, you provided real reasons why you didn't like it.

as someone who has been around for a while, i wanna just thank you for always staying so respectful and open minded about stuff like this. i won't name names or throw shade but there are other reactor/reviewers out there who really lack that ability to critique something without acting condescending and straight up mean towards the fanbase of what they're reviewing. i knew this album probably wouldn't be to your taste, but i was still just as excited to hear your thoughts because you express them so well. what i'm saying is, you're the goat 👑

Just need some new twenty one pilots music to cleanse myself lol

This is the best review for this album I’ve seen. I adore, ADORE this album, but I love how your critiques were valid and understandable. I’ve said this before, but as very big AJR fan, I still value your reviews deeply cus it gives me the other side of the story (and you’re very entertaining).
  • @RegionalForest
this reaction is false. i dont believe it. wheres the real one.
  • @Mr.Thirty3
I feel like he makes the same suprised face for every song
  • @RegionalForest
the pure suffering and we’re only two minutes is hilarious
  • @flowersdip
I KNEW YOU WOULDN´T LIKE THIS ONE 😭
  • @AJRContent
Really good reaction, and some parts were really funny😂. But I have a question, with their five albums, would you say this is their worst album?
  • @Cashcorn
6:40 I had a similar reaction 😂 I do like the end of Inertia but man I wish they stuck with the beginning of the song. It starts off with such a cool vibe and then the chorus is just so average and the switch up feels out of place. Also the lyrics are eh but it could be a good turn your brain off song like The Entertainment’s Here. Sorry to hear you didn’t like it I personally enjoyed it and this might be my favorite album from them
  • @thecantinasewok
“And you put the do-do-do-do-doo’s on top of that absolutely not” 🤣
  • @carsonediger7149
I love AJR, and I love when you react to them because when I listen to a new album of theirs I play a guessing game of what you will and won’t like. I’m usually right lol
  • @arcanemaster8722
When the synths came on in Steve’s Going To London I started sobbing bruh, I had the exact same reaction. I didn’t really want to listen to it myself but man experiencing these clips was a journey in of its own
  • @nymeric5833
Even though I love this album and it sort of hurts to see other people dislike it, I really love how respectful you are and how you listen through the entire song before making comments on it, because nothing bothers me more than when people are pausing every other line, it's really annoying. I can definitely see why people would dislike it (and the rest of AJR), it certainly isn't for everyone. Also don't be sorry for not liking the album, you don't owe it to people to like an album.
  • @TabbyPro
As a fan of AJR I’ve watched pretty much every AJR reaction from you and I absolutely respect how like you said “don’t make a video for the purpose of hating on them”. And when you don’t like the song you’re totally respectful about it. I’m glad how as much as you might not enjoy them you still put out your honest opinion without shaming the artist or their fans. My favorite album from them is Neotheater.
