it's kinda crazy how over the course of 6 albums, there's only 2 songs that i genuinely like: growing old on bleecker street and normal

2 of the tracks on this being covers of songs featured in shrek makes me think they were big shrek fans hahahaha

as a HUUUGGEEE fan of AJR i was really not expecting this, they sounded like theatre kids ngl, and I definitely did not get the same feeling and vibe - or click :p - with this album as I did with the living room onwards. ALTHOUGH i do think everyone has to start somewhere and look how far they've come, not only with their vocals and musical maturity but also composure, style, lyrics, and depth of the songs vs. the surface look. the producer must have seen this within them to have put this album out (i don't know if they're still with the same producer), and I'm glad they're doing well now xxx
