  • his explanation of the finale song is this: He finally went back home because of the pandemic after living in NYC for a good while. The last song is his point of view as he returns back to his hometown. He passes roads he knows, remembers all the memories of joy, then the memories of loss and realizing how old he's gotten. He's closer to home than he's been in a while, but he feels so far from it because he's a different person now. All the anger and angst and sadness and loss and happiness all comes rushing back, and then he finally backs into his driveway while gripping the wheel as hard as he can. Now that he's back home, everything is still again and he can move forwards anew :) Such a beautiful song
  • This seriously made me smile so much. My husband came home to me one day scream-singing/crying to this whole album. It WRECKED me.

As I've listened to this album all the way through many times, my favorite track changes often. Strawberry Wine really gets to me lately. My interpretation of it is him reflecting on a past relationship that just didn't work despite all the love they had for eachother and how it still is painful to remember. "If I could lose you I would, we buried your bones in plywood," maybe meaning that he just wants to move on. He put the past to rest now if he could forget her he'd be okay. He misses her and the time they shared and even strangers in the park remind him of her but knows that he won't ever have that back. Seeing you experience this album for the first time brought me joy! Thank you ā¤

I'm so happy to see you listening to this album its been living rent free in my head.
  • This album is incredible. I'm seeing him next Saturday for his Stick Season tour and then again in August at a music festival in SF. Words can't describe the excitement. His stuff is just downright MOVING.
  • I feel like youā€™ll absolutely love Hozier. Particularly his first album but honestly his whole discography is a masterpiece

As of like 2 days ago Noah released the deluxe edition of the album which comes with I think 6-7 new songs one being an extended cut of the view between villages
  • Itā€™s such a masterful album. Even the song order seems inexplicably perfect. He released an EP in 2020 called Cape Elizabeth I think youā€™d enjoy. Itā€™s comprised of five simple acoustic songs that give off such autumnal vibes. Loved your video and energy šŸ’•
  • my favs are orange juice and the between villages can't wait for your reaction of the deluxe!!

I think youā€™d love Cape Elizabeth, Noahā€™s earlier EP that kind of feels like a proto-Stick Season; masterful acoustic-based tracks. Thatā€™s how I got into Noah, actually, his song Maine off that EP swept me away and Iā€™ve been following ever since.
