these afghan soldiers were not cowards, the real cowards were their politicians
  • I think it would have been wise for Vice to censor the Afghan soldier's faces, to avoid future reprisals against them by the Taliban.

  • As an former Afghan army officer this video brought tears in my eyes, what a brave and professional special forces we had but corrupt politicians sold them , what a beautiful country and fought for every inches of it unfortunately everything disappeared in hours

When that guy lying injured on his bed said ‘they’ll never take Kandahar’… gave me chills, man.

Its sad because we can see that many of the ordinary afghan soldiers want to fight but there is a lack of will and leadership and corruption among the senior management.

I am currently teaching English to some of these brave Afghan military men. My respect for them is boundless. They love America. They are working so hard to conquer the very difficult English language. Teaching them is the highest honor of my entire career.

This whole situation seems like a failure from leadership because of either corruption, incompetence, or both

when the ANA soldier said " All the politicians don't care, Their children are in safe haven" I felt that.

7:50 this is heart of a soldier, never admit the enemy were better, never say they will take over their land, never say that there is no option left, never give up. mad respect for this guy

The other day I saw a video of an Afghan soldier who was literally crying telling one of his CO’s that he didn’t wanna give up his rifle and asking why no ones wants to fight against the Taliban and I really felt his pain. The story for the past few weeks has been that the soldiers were cowards and just gave up their weapons but looks more like they were sold out by crooked and pitiful “leadership” very sad.

I knew an afghan woman from Kandahar. We were good friends. The last I heard from her, she told me that times were precarious and that it’s like two giant elephants fighting. I haven’t heard from her in years but I always think of her often. She’s changed the way I see things. And even though, we were a part f one anothers lives for a short while, I always consider her still one of most important friends I made. I hope she is alive and ok today. Always thinking of you, Rubina.
