Today I'm sharing my mom's Baked Oatmeal recipe. It's hearty, comforting, and customizable. Baked oatmeal is great to make ahead for a busy morning or for entertaining. Enjoy!

Baked Oatmeal
2 c. old fashioned oats
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. applesauce
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. butter, melted

Preheat oven to 375*. In a large bowl, whisk together the oats, baking powder, brown sugar, and raisins. Add in the milk, applesauce, beaten egg, and melted butter and stir to combine. Grease an 8x8" glass baking dish. Pour the oatmeal mixture into the baking dish. Bake at 375* for 20-25 minutes until set in the middle. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. ENJOY!

  • can't believe I'm almost 70 and never had baked oatmeal. saw it listed on restaurant menu and decided to research. now thinking pecans and or peanut butter would jack this up another level for me.
  • Never heard of this before. I think I would like this. God bless all here
  • I just made it. I used cinnamon apple sauce. That is all I had. Added 1/4 of chocolate chips along with the raisins. I also added 1 Tspoon of bourbon maple sugar just for the heck of it. I made lightly sweetened whipped cream to top it with. YUM.
  • You probably get this all the time, but your smile is so comforting! And contagious! Thankyou for all your recipes meal planning is a bunk without videos like these👍🏻
  • This one has always been a success at the breakfast table when guests/family are here.
  • I’ve never had baked oatmeal. I’ve wondered about it though. This looked yummy!

  • This looks so good! I will be trying this one day this week as I have all the ingredients! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. Your kitchen is absolutely beautiful and so big!
  • I've never had baked oatmeal before but I'm going to try this recipe and I'll probably add just a little cinnamon and maybe pecans or walnuts as well. Thank you for the recipe
  • I like to add spices instead of raisins. Sometimes I use maple syrup, or cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. Don’t add to raw mixture, add when you are going to reheat, just gives you a variety of options during the week.
  • Great recipe thank! Love your style, new subscriber :)
  • Come on add raisins and cranberries, nuts, cinnamon, diced fresh apple cooked...make it extra yummy
  • I made baked oats today & it tastes good tho & lately I've been watching videos on baked oats & it gave me ideas
  • I love this idea! Two questions: Can you use Steel Cut Oats? I have some quick cooking steel cut oats from Trader Joes. I like steel cut over old fashioned. Also can this be frozen? I was thinking to cut into portions and freeze for a weekday easy breakfast idea for work. This looks so good and easy too!
  • Hi Anne, I had never heard of Baked Oatmeal until a recipe came up on my Facebook page. I made it and it was delicious! The recipe I used did not call for egg or milk and it turned out more like cake. Everything else was the same. Once it cooled completely I cut it just like a piece of cake. The next time I am going to use Cinnamon Applesauce as my recipe called for Cinnamon. I also plan to use Chocolate Chips. Did you say earlier that your expecting? I could be thinking of another YouTuber. Love your recipe.

I have a question about baking my everyday oatmeal. I don’t need anything fancy like raisins, eggs etc. All I want is oats, sugar, water, a bit of butter. I don’t want it to taste like a dessert, basically, I just want an ordinary baked oatmeal, without involving the microwave or the stovetop. Do I still need to bake 20min @375F?
