The Acura Integra Type-S has a legendary reputation and a lot to live up to when the Civic Type-R is also available and superb. But once prices break into the $50,000 range, other options enter the discussion, like Audi’s S3. We set out on a great road in all three cars to discuss what 50k gets you and what you need.

My heart wants a Type R My brain wants a Type S My bank account wants me to stop buying cars
  • Just got a type S for 50k out the door. This car has activated my teenage happiness and I'm so lucky to own one. So much power, so much class. Thank you Honda/Acura ☺️

I'm not even all the way through this video, and the fact that you are saying that tires matter more than AWD make me SO HAPPY! I try to tell people this all the time, and they think I'm nuts. I always ask them one question... "What is the only thing on your vehicle that makes contact with the ground?" This is why I've been watching you guys for years.

Nailed it! If dealer mark-up is going to push these up by 5-10K, let's test them against other cars in that price bracket.

Type S is so tempting. Saw one at a dealership, today, and it looked great!
  • I may be in the minority, but I hate power seats...too slow. Manual seats are instant.

Civic Type R is my choice, and I ordered one already. I have another car for daily driving, so this is my decision.

Well done, gents. This has classic Everyday Driver content vibes.

Just bought the Type S the other day drove the s3 first but loved the Acura so much more!

Very happy to see the in person discussion at the end … I have missed that in recent videos and it is my favorite part! Thanks guys
  • The CTR and ITR are like a 911 GT3 vs a 911 S/T: track trim vs sport tourer trim. Same car, slightly different niches.

I’m 61 and have a significant commute to work each day yet I’m the proud owner of a CTR and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The car is brilliant and a blast to drive each day.

FL5 is so easy to daily! I drive mine everyday.

Great comparison! I recently went from a 2019 Type R to the new Integra Type S. Lovely car.

Have made a similar statement a while ago but, this needs repeating. You guys do this whole car review thing, pretty flipping well! Thanks.
  • @FeistyPineapple
This is such a fun comparison! Especially seeing the Hondas take on the Audi :)!
  • @tedadamgreen
GREAT VIDEO!! Thanks so much for this comparison guys
  • @DanG90
Really good comparison as always guys! I think the S3 is the better car if your commuting in traffic to the office every day. Failing that, I'd take the Acura or the Civic Type R
