So many people in the industrialized nations are deficient in Vitamin D, it is truly an epidemic. When you consider that it is not just a vitamin, but also a pro-hormone, you can begin to understand the importance of this deficiency.

Vitamin D deficiency can lead to weakened bones, yes, but it can also lead to weakened immune systems as well. The risk of cancer, and many other illnesses, increases with a dropping vitamin D level.

The best way to get Vitamin D is from the Sun and from your diet. If you live too far north for the Sun, and can't get enough in your diet, then you should supplement. Having a healthy Vitamin D level is very important to your good health and longevity.

I asked my doctor about being vitamin D deficient and he scoffed at me & said it was rubbish and declined my request for a blood test. Time for a new doctor I think!

I had to fight 3 doctors to even get my thyroid tested, and after getting results for hypothyroidism; I then had to fight all over again to get further testing to make sure I didn’t have pituitary involvement or hashimoto - and in allllll the things I read I found there is a correlation between low thyroid and low vitamin D. My endocrinologist refused to order a Vit d test, but I was able to get my primary to do it - and I was at a 15 😑😑😑 A huge part of getting proper treatment is, unfortunately, doing your own research and insisting when the doctors are obviously neglecting your care.

Just wanting to share a public warning - my dad absolutely ruined his kidneys by taking way in excess the RDA, 60,000 IU’s with K2, he’s currently in hospital due to taking too much, he enjoyed the benefits of D3 so much that he just took more - 2 years later D3 toxicity- eGFR went down to 10. No one really talks about toxicity and most doctors haven’t seen it because it’s rare, but it does happen. Thanks for reading :)

When I was in nursing school my professor said she lost her son when he was 10. She went through a downward spiral and became extremely depressed life stopped for her. She started talking magnesium and vitamin d together and it changed her life. So of course I started I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression in my teens. And omg I can not tell you how much those two vitamins have changed my life. I don't even have to take antidepressants and anxiety meds anymore, it's been 2 years. I now tell everyone to take those two together. Bc the world needs to know.
  • I hope people understand how generous this man is being with education that cost him not only materially but, emotionally and spiritually to earn. 12 years to become a Medical Doctor is a long haul and most people are not string enough to succeed at the attempt. Thank You kind physician!!

I had every single symptom. Got my blood tested & it came back Vitamin D deficient. Thank you so much! Sharing w my friends
  • I found out by low Vitamin D when I fell off a curb and broke three limbs. I noticed from your video that I was feeling more tired than usual and a little more down in the dumps. When I asked my doctor, he just said it was the nature of where we lived. I should have pursued this more aggressively. Thanks for the video.
  • Thank you Dr. Berry. I recently started taking vitamin D3 on my own. What a difference it makes. I’ve had pain for years. I go to the VA. They have inferred that the pain is made up. What really gets me is why did they never tell me about D3? Rather than insult me and allow me to be in pain all these years. It’s mean spirited and negligent.

I live in Alaska and since i was 16 was having depressed and suicidial thoughts, and when my mom took me to the doctor they took a blood test to find out that I was low in Vitamin D. Thank you for spreading this

I've had severe depression and anxiety most of my life and have been diagnosed with bipolar 1.I started taking vitamin d(4000 a day) in March 2020 & I've never felt better!I also completely changed how I ate-no sugar or processed food.
  • I was once diagnosed with low vitamin d and I was so tired that I kept on nearly collapsing and I couldn’t barely stand and I was very depressed not bathing or eating and I was exhausted daily. The only missing symptoms were painful bones and painful muscles and slow healing, but I didn’t really get any injuries while I was vitamin d deficient and my cat could tell something was wrong with me and he was the one who encouraged me to eat one meal per day because he wouldn’t eat unless I fed myself. If he had food he wouldn’t eat unless I ate first which made me eat at least one meal a day to make sure he’d eat his food too. My cats are very sweet and very smart. They can tell when my health is off.

All humans make Vitamin D with enough Sun exposure. The problem is that we are either indoors too much, or live too far North to get enough sunshine!

I suffered from restless leg syndrome for 30 years and finally I asked my doctor about it in spite of reading that there was nothing that could be done for it. He sent me for bloodwork and found out that I was deficient on vitamin D. Just after the very first dose, my RLS disappeared. 😊
  • I just found out my vita D is extremely low. I've been complaining about muscle and bone pain for 3 yrs and no one has tested me until now. I have had so many infections in this time frame as well. Thank you for your time informing us. I needed to hear this.
