Magnesium (Mg) deficiency is very common. Some experts estimate that over half of us have severe Magnesium depletion in our cells. A normal Magnesium blood test at your doctor's office tells you nothing. You can have a severe Mg defic. and have a normal serum Mg level.

It's optimal to eat plenty of low-carb foods rich in Mg, that way you know you are getting enough. It can take months of healthy eating to completely replace the Mg your cells need to function properly.

Some people need a supplement, but others can get all the Mg they need from food. If you don't recognize the signs then you might not think you have a problem. Here are 9 signs of Magnesium Deficiency you should know...

Been depressed since preteen....now in my early 50's and found 500mg magnesium finally, FINALLY made it go away. Day three I was still crying but by the end of the week I realized my depression was no longer hanging around my neck. For the FIRST time.

My health issues that I have been going to the doctors for years now include insomnia, migraines and I have osteoporosis diagnosed at age 40 and I’m now 58. Another video I watched included migraines as a sign of low magnesium and I go to my family PCP yearly and I have never been tested for magnesium deficiency. I started taking 400 mg of magnesium last week and I’ve noticed better sleep and less migraines. I wake up with migraines regularly. I have more trust in you then I do in the health care system. Seriously, no one has EVER mentioned MAGNESIUM. THANK YOU, DR. BERRY!!!

70 on 2 months, I've had those symptoms all my life, thank you for this . Severe morning sickness5-6 months. Lost 12 kids doctors should have helped me, in hospital a lot! I pray this blesses someone besides me. .
  • i'm a chiropractor w/ 42 years experience. never have I heard an MD make such perfect sense. I'm subscribed!
  • @wms72
People complaining that he took too long to get to the symptoms should appreciate the important info he was sharing while they zoned out: He explained how your blood magnesium levels could be normal on a test, but your cellular level of magnesium could still be deficient.
  • What about severe anxiety disorder?? I have had trouble sleeping and eat benzos like candy. I went to the Dr. And got a blood test. It revealed that I was vitamin D deficient but he said my magnesium levels were normal. I've taken 400mg. of mag for 2 weeks and my sleep was AMAZING!!! Thank you for this video, Dr.!

A chiropractor treated my low energy, B/P, and sluggish BM's with...Magnesium Citrate. He told me to drink a cap every 2 hours for 4 times for 3 days. I felt like a new person. Just bounding with energy. Cost 99 cents and so very worth it.

It is negligence that nutrition continues to be ignored. Most MD's have no clue or interest in educating themselves on the basics of supplementation. Yet they're fluent in countless Big pharma drugs. Thank you for being one of the good guys Dr B! You're like the John Wayne of medicine 👌⭐... No nonsense and straight up!
  • @rsc4peace971
Great recommendations and as a 73-year-old, had severe muscle cramps, etc. I have been taking both Mg Glycinate while maintaining my balanced physical activity and I have not had cramps for over a year now. You have an excellent way to present all your topics with a lot of well-researched and fact-based health advise
  • I used to suffer with A fib and incidents of tachycardia. My cardiologist had me on metaprolol for a while, but I could barely function. I began to research and learned of the heart's need for electrolytes among myriad other bodily functions. The rest is history. May God bless you Dr. Berry. You are truly saving lives and building health.

I have Benign Fasciculation Syndrome. My neurologist never told magnesium may help. Now I'm about 50% better.
  • I am baffled by people. There are 382 'thumbs down'. Dr. Berry has provided helpful health information. What's to not like?
  • This lecture is gold. Personally, I had the first 6 symptoms mentioned here, and nobody knew why. I took magnesium supplements 2 times a day for a few months and these symptoms improved or disappeared: 2:57 - #01, energy levels / ATP 3:24 - #02, tachycardia (fast heartbeat) 3:57 - #03, numbness / tingling 4:25 - #04 , muscle cramps / twitches 4:49 - #05, constipation 5:26 - #06 , insomnia

We really really need more doctors like you... you know your stuff very well. I've been to several doctors and they can't seem to figure out what's wrong with me and whatever I'm dealing with keeps me from doing everyday activities
  • @petunia4474
I have never had one Doctor in my 62 years ever suggest a supplement of any kind. Thank you for the information Dr. Berry.
  • @francineW1
Dr. Berry has a heart of a teacher!!! I thank God for him. I'm so grateful for his time & knowledge.
  • @lulujordaan1103
Since using Magnesium, I have NO night muscle cramps anymore. This came to memory one morning after waking up. Something my mother used for years. What you say right here has worked for me!
