The Process
---------------------
In 5 Minute Designs, I figure the design out as I go. I'll explain my thoughts and reasons behind the decisions I make from Concept to the Final Result.
Today's design involves coming up with a design concept that shows off the high friction aspect of a brand new running shoe. We will use Photoshop's Liquify Filter to make a unique shoe graphic. Then we'll create a layout for our poster. We'll go into Blender to make some custom 3D Letters, and we'll finish things off with a quick Logo Design and Photoshop Mockup!

Overall great idea and execution, the only thing I'm not in love with is the shape and shading of the "goo" and feel like that part could be refined a bit more. But for a quick exercise like this, it rocks!

I think the concept is great, but I can just imagine the letters getting completely lost in a sun glare if it was a real poster behind protective plastic or glass. A little more separation (a slight outline in the dark blue shade of the shoe) would help pull the text out from the wall and help with legibility. Especially at a distance.

I just cannot get over the beautiful shape of the shoe when it was in the running position, especially because I literally just thought it first that you were going to tilt it diagonally, but of course that's not how people walk or run. Like I just have to pause the video and say that this is just oh gosh how beautiful curve it's so realistic it's so... Everything you do is so polished and professional looking, to where things are so visually appealing more so than in a lot of ads I see out there

What's your favorite type of exercise? I'm not a huge runner, but I love Rock Climbing!

Bro i literally can't stop watching your videos, you are so creative. I am on your channel for last three hours and still keep watching your videos... Looking forward for more...

Found you through reddit as well. As a fellow graphic designer your videos are inspiring! Looking forward to watching more videos from you

One main critique! I feel like runners wouldn’t want their shoes to be gooey? Feel like it’d slow you down? I get that it’s the grip; but goo gives slow, like tar or sap.
-
I think it would have been better if the sticky part of the goo came from the word grip stuck to the shoe that way you still have the full look of what the shoe looks like. I just think that it makes the shoe not as appealing to look at the way you made it gooey.

Amazing Work. Its very interesting to see your creative style and the way you tackle your design decisions =.

Found you through reddit, nice going.

the only thing I think that could be done differently, is the background just be a tad bit more grey than the lettering so its a tad bit more readable.

As always, amazing job! 😍

As a graphic design enthusiast, your poster looks sick As a consumer (and former marketer), I can't say I'd want to buy a shoe that looked like it'd stop me from walking or running, nor one that looked like it'd melt and stick to surfaces... makes me think it would be poor performing and low build quality That being said, I suppose this wasn't a video about marketing, so it's a moot point. Love your graphic design skills!
