When I was younger, I didn’t understand why someone would actually choose an older generation car over new one. Now I understand. I will take a yellow/black roof/polished wheels C6 Z06 with head/cam.

I love that GM always makes a "badge delete" option available for the Z06. "A keen eye will notice the oversize rear tires..."

The C6 Z06 will always be the ultimate vette in my book. De tuned to only 505hp a 427 with titanium rods. You can do a cam swap and make 600+ n/a.

Even the now-overlooked and "modestly" powered C5 Z06 is still a very quick car. 0-60 in 4 - 4.2 seconds, 1/4 mile in low 12s @ 116 mph and Nordschlief full lap time under 8 minutes back in 2004 with 2004 tire technology. The record 1/4 mile pass for a bone stock C5 Z06 on stock OEM tires is 11.8 @ 118 mph. The record pass for a C5 Z06 with only an air intake and DRs is 11.55 @ 120 mph. For just a 5.7L pushrod car from the early 2000s that's rippin fast. But even my old C4 is an awesome car to cruise around in. The Corvette team forgot how to make seats after the C4.

I loved my c6 z06 but the c7 z06 is insane. I have the manual too.

If the C8 Z06 came with a 6 or 7-speed manual option, especially if it had a gated shifter, it would literally be the most perfect performance car in the market.
