As someone who gets their best music ideas when I'm half asleep I love reaching out for my deluge and writing a tune in bed I can do the same thing with my laptop but the deluge is immediate
-
Dude, you should have included the Hapax in this comparison.
-
Someone on Jay Hosking's Discord server told me about this video, since my video is shown briefly on the OXI forums at 1:29. I first learned about Jay from one of your videos years ago! The synth community is a small world.
-
great video. Deluge owner here and I totally agree with its self contained all in one music creation center -esp for traveling. Always take it too
-
awesome. super happy to see someone compare hands on. i've got a couple of the deluge, but I keep eyeing the oxi one.
-
Thanks, i was getting some FOMO but this comparison helped me know I made the right choice for my situation!
-
Oh my god I’m going to loop this video for ages. I’m so picky about step input and step sequencing haha
-
Gotta say, they are both damn freaking tempting.
-
I considered adding the oxi one to the mix but stuck with the deluge for sequencing since it does pretty much everything + sequencing. Couldnt think of having another device on the desk doing one thing. Crazy how much the deluge does and how intuitive it is. When i see the oxi one, I think of all the new things i have to learn and different types of sequencing. I just want to hit a pad, then another to set its length, done. The oxi looks like the octatrack of sequencing and after owning like 4 octatracks over 6 years cause i just had to figure it out. I've learned to keep it simple.
-
Oxi is pretty much the perfect brain in the same way the deluge is a perfect groove box. I’ve tried so many brains. I knew within minutes that my search was over.
-
Great vid and thanks for your insight.
-
Informative. I've looked at the Deluge and I love the sound actually. But I've been looking at the Oxi One vs Torso s1 as I need a specific type function, like something playable. I have enough programmable sequencing options. Anyway, thanks for the comparison. I learned something. :)
-
Great video. I've decided I need both. Thanks Man/consumerism.
-
As an owner of both, OXI is my goto sequencer and what I use direct all the gear, including the Deluge. Enjoyed the video, yet still question why people would compare the two 😂
-
Woah didn’t know about the pre CC w/ the Oxi one! Thx midlife! ❤️
-
The community deluge firmware is pretty sick and worth using. I use my deluge plugged into eurorack via erica synths black midi to get 2x sequenced gate and cv, but there are direct gate and cv out too.
-
Great video, thank you! The Deluge being now open source it means that it potentially could end up doig pretty much anythimg. Potentially, that is 😅...
-
I would be more interested in a compariosion Oxi One vs. Torso T1 in regards of jamming, generative festures and melodic imrovisation..
-
So glad you did this comparison. I have the deluge rn, but have been considering switching
