Hi, from Japan!! Here in Japan, people think this is the greatest Civic Type R ever, too. Also people whose age are around 40s appreciate the exterior. They couldn’t buy the prior one because of its Gundam looking. Now, it’s solved. Anyway, nice car!!

Thank you guys, great review and insight as always. I think you guys just saved me about $16K CDN when you made the track statement @14:53. Sadly, I live on Vancouver Island and I heard a rumour that our last track in Duncan, which is 90 minutes from where I live, is closing. The SI is the pick for me as I will never be a track guy and will only be taking the family on some safe, spirited family adventures. Thanks again!

The lead engineer mentioned in Savagegeese's first video on the FL5 that this will indeed be the last Type R before it gets electrified, so I'm thoroughly looking forward to getting my hands on one... eventually.

It's tough to describe how good the car is from the factory but it's much easier to show them on an open road. My 2021 Type R has 640hp on the factory engine/trans/clutch People who complain about the price don't understand the engineering in a Type R
