I feel Oda's always done a good job of portraying all the straw hats as characters who don't try to kill people but also don't try to not kill people. Like if they're in a fight they do all they can to win, and if their opponent(s) wind up dead, that's just what happened.

The fact spandam and black maria are somehow alive honestly is even more terrifying, cause to me that means robin somehow knows the exact place to snap someone’s back like a snickers and not kill then

Zoro has definitely killed more people than were mentioned in the video. He's a swordsman that worked as a bounty hunter for pirates. Pirates tend to get "dead or alive" bounties so Zoro really had no reason to hold back and try to keep them alive. But of course, this is One Piece, so Oda is never going to focus on that aspect.

Zoro did not kill the Child and Nun in Whisky peak, he said they should "thank the lord" cause he used the dull side of his sword

as someone who has worked with the one piece wiki, the reason why the article about zoro and Mr 7 may not be so direct with what happened to Mr. 7 is because even though it’s all but said by the manga - it is not said, so to avoid any chance of saying something wrong, all information is vetted and stated in this way. a lot of in-fighting happens regarding this kind of stuff, more drama on that wiki than you’d think.

The time Luffy whipped a bunch of Impel Down guards into the lava always stood out to me.

Straw Hats, you stand accused of committing murder. Most of the crew: "Probably." Robin: "Professionally." Zoro: "Recreationally." Usopp: "I'd like to introduce my lawyer, Lawyerking. He is NOT, in fact, me wearing a mask."

When I first rewatched OP I also counted for fun how many potential kills have our strawhats. We can agree Zoro's most slashes and Robin's neck clutches are fatal for enemies. Even Sanji sometimes could instantly kill (do your remember bouncy guy in skypea? And unluckies from BaroqueWorks?). Robin's brutally punishing skyea's big fat dude should be reminded too

It's hard to think that all the marines that Franky has gunned down at Enies Lobby survived the spray of bullets.

I remember thinking Zoro killing the magistrate in Wano was a funny reminder that he does indeed kill people. We were so used to not seeing that and then BOOM, he just slices a guy in half. With that being said, I feel like only named characters are safe from being killed by the Straw Hats. Zoro does most of the slaying, but they all have some pretty lethal attacks that they unleash on some relatively weak opponents. I mean no one really bats an eye at Ussop releasing poison gas and Franky shooting lasers, or Brook freezing people solid and Nami shocking them with lightning. There’s no way in hell a normal person is surviving a Gear 3 attack, and Sanji indiscriminately throws kicks that are strong enough to shatter bones at his opponents skulls. Jimbei might be the only one who legitimately doesn’t kill anyone, but he is directly responsible for some of the most bloodthirsty and cruel Fishmen, so who knows what he was doing in the past. All in all, their collateral damage has to be responsible for at least a few hundred deaths, if not more.

It is funny that Kalifa managed to survive, cause Nami literally struct a thunder bolt tempo through her heart (there was smoke coming from her mouth and her eyes went blurry afterwards)

Worth noting that we often see observation haki users refer to sensing someone's presence as "hearing their voice", so when Law says he doesn't hear Luffy's "voice" he's probably referring to his observation haki and not to the Voice of All Things.

Luffy definitely killed people in Impel Down by knocking them into the boiling liquid.

The only real argument I have is against the 'Toy' murder. Your example is Kyros losing a leg before transforming but we see a ton of broken or torn up toys in the dump that presumably return to their normal human selves once Sugar is beaten since we see a lot of people leave the dump. We even see the guy who constantly gets his arm torn off by a dog as a toy get his arm magically fixed once he returns to human form. So I think any damage done to people as a toy doesn't seem to transfer to their real body, assuming they don't get completely disintegrated I guess.

I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this but Luffy has one more FOR SURE kill under his belt, however it was also in a movie. In the movie Dead End Adventure he bazooka’d Captain Gasparde, who was a devil fruit user, directly into a hurricane in the middle of the sea…that dude is 100% a goner lol

12:26 so here’s the thing. When people read law and momo saying “I can’t hear luffys voice” their not using voice of all things, people are forgetting that it’s not voice of all things that hears another human. What they are using however is observation haki, when a person becomes unconscious in any way, to an observation user’s perspective they describe it as “their voice disappeared”. This example was shown a thousand times by both enel and aisa from the sky island arc who said this about a billion times when they think someone dies despite the fact that no one died in the entirety of that arc just became unconscious. Thus luffy did not die in his battle with kaido he only fell unconscious and his voice disappeared from observation user. And this is further proven when you realize law and momo are observation user while law is not a voice of all things user

I would say that Robin probably killed Black Maria. It was at least heavily implied that she's dead as hell.
  • You could probably find more times that the Straw Hat Pirates killed other characters in filler and movies. It's a rule in most anime that the main characters kill more characters in filler and movies than in plot.

Zoro does not cut to allow for EMS, he cuts to send the enemy to the morgue
