Nothing is back with another fashion focused phone. With crazy light show notifications, improved gaming and camera performance, and an increased flaghship-like pricetag, will Bell be impressed by Carl Pei's latest device, or should you stick with a more established brand?

  • Oddly enough, software support is becoming more and more important to me compared to hardware features in what phone I go with.
  • Would love to see a section on repairability on phone reviews going forwards. Even if it's just "there isn't any". Would send a message to manufacturers that it's something that consumers want, and it's important to me for the longevity of the phone
  • @Eli-zb2yj
Imagine that there is nothing in the box
  • I love my Nothing Phone 1, and the updates that have been coming out have improved on it. It was a bit harder to get here in the states, but was worth it. It was a massive upgrade from my old G5.
  • @Sazoji
this is the same design aesthetic as what the oneplusX was trying to carve out, I loved that phone. if they made a nothing phone mini I would pick it up in a heartbeat.
  • Nothing Phone 1 = a good mid-ranger Nothing Phone 2 = a good near-flagship The Nothing Phone 2 kinda sits between the Pixel 7 and S23. In my area , the Pixel 7 is $700, S23 is $800 while Nothing Phone 2 is $600, count in the much faster processor and LTPO screen...you know which one I'm gonna get, got more hooked with the software though, I'm gonna cover the glyph with a case lmao.
  • I have had the Nothing Phone 1 for 8 months and absolutely love it, Don't understand the let down really
  • Super duper happy to see ShortCircuit unboxing the 2nd Nothing Phone after seeing its announcement on TechLinked. My Note 10 Lite is still a reliable trusty ol thing but I wouldn't mind upgrading and LTT is exactly the type of perspective I need to help me decide. Also finally ordered a Northern Lights desk pad after drooling over the amazing design for more than a year, thanks Lime day! <3
  • @eyeco2
seems a great phone at good price, nice to see options in the phone space.
  • so as someone that's created his own ring tones... and alert messages... that sound amazing to be able to do that!!!.
  • @necrojoe
Honest question: Why would availability, if you already have the phone, be a detriment to the ownership/use experience?
  • Little surprised to hear that you didn't like the phone 1. I got it about a month ago and am really happy with it. I don't game or do anything particularly intense on my phone, so the performance is more than enough for me. Favourite thing though, is the OS. Stock android experience with a few widgets and graphical changes from Nothing. I love the complete lack of bloatware and the continued software support. A couple of updates before I bought it also massively increased the battery life, so with my usual usage, I go about 2 days without charging it. The glyphs are a bit of a gimmick to me, but I expect to use them a bit more once OS 2 is released for the phone 1.
  • This seems very cool I have to admit that it is a considerable bump from $399 to $599 (to start) but you definitely get what you pay for and nothing seems to be very good on the support side of things. All in all I definitely do feel compelled to at least check it out.
  • @MANGOM1LK
dolphin as a labs workload is very fun to see - i wonder if they will end up trying any later release titles like sonic colors
  • I have a nothing phone 1 and it is great. Much better experience that my last samsung phone that had to be returned 2 times for hardware issues that even after I got it back from repair never really went away. All in all, love it.
  • I got the debrand tough case with a Teardown skin, and the rubbery outer layer of the case has started peeling off :(
  • It’s a neat concept but I can honestly barely remember what the back of my case looks like bc I always set my phone down face up so when I get a notification I can see what it is. I just don’t see the advantages here. Anything the back of the phone can do the front can also do but with more info and context. Maybe in not as exciting and interesting way but functionally, I just can’t see anything past the novelty of the glyphs. And getting something bc it’s novel isn’t always a bad thing, of course. Like I’m still really considering picking one up.
