ANSWERS TO COMMON QUESTIONS & ADDITIONAL INFO:

Q: How come you don’t get fat?
A: I eat like this for 1 hour of a 168 hour long week. In simple terms, I eat at caloric maintenance over the course of time, meaning I don’t gain weight. If you're interested in learning more, see the ‘But How Come You're Not Fat' and 'It Was Just A Normal Day...' videos available on my channel.

Q: Don’t you worry about your health?
A: Not in particular. I’m active. I eat nutrient dense foods five days a week. And, I get quarterly bloods done, amongst other health checks.

  • Evening all! Thanks for joining me for another episode. Today it’s the biggest steak in Texas! I’ll say no more, other than that I hope you enjoy it, save yourself the trouble of complaining about the cook on the steak 😆, and I’ll see you again on Sunday at a location I’m sure my fellow nerds will love… ‘Til then, stay insatiable! *This series was filmed between April 17th and May 8th.
  • So well mannered and polite along with not being annoyingly cocky.. You can't help but to love him!

As a chef, I just KNOW when the cook got a well done 85oz steak, he threw something and went “fuck this place”😂
  • @jackpurdee3672
Your manners when dealing with the staff make this a pleasure to watch!😊
  • Guy eats an 85oz steak, a loaded baked potato, salad, roll and a bowl of gravy and immediately after, unprompted mind you, orders pie. What a legend

This blew my mind. I commuted past that place every day for 6 years. Had no idea they did a monster steak. Very cool to see my drive on a YouTube video

As an American, take my advice...places that look run down on the outside, and are off the main paths, often have the BEST food.

I actually had to sign in to say this. The reason the chef has them place orange slices, is to be a squeeze topping for the steak. It's lovely, and A1 is just orange and other fruits and spices.

Her response after you finished it was perfect: "Well done"
  • My uncle did one of these in Iowa a few years back. They totally cheated him too. Brought only half the steak out at first and they REFUSED to cook it any way but extra well done. They also didnt mention that it was only half the steak so when he finished it in 10 minutes he ended up sitting for about 30 minutes before they brought the second half out. Apparently it was cooked at the same time as the first half so it was tough and half cold. During his wait he also ate a plate of fried potatos, 4 slices of texas toast and 4 beers. He ended up running out of time because he had about 15 minutes to finish the cold second half on an almost full stomach. The steak cost $100 if you didnt finish it. And as a kicker it was his birthday and they KNEW that because they brought him a slice of cake at the end of the meal. Total dicks. That place is closed down now.
  • Cobbler is like a pie but instead of traditional crust it’s dough balls scattered about like dumplings amongst the filling. So good 🤌🏻

My British wife wouldn’t eat country (or creamy/white) gravy when she moved here to Austin 11 years ago….not until she had my mom’s biscuits (fluffy breakfast rolls) and gravy. Now she is hooked! Impressed by your mad eating skills!!
  • I've seen eating challenges where restaurants try to get you to lose by adding extra couple pound of fries and other silly measures. This establishment seems very friendly and actually want you to win. She seems nice and even said that you didn't have to eat the gristle. A lot of these Texan restaurants seem to offer a great deal of hospitality.

For the white gravy with steak - we actually have a dish called "chicken fried steak" which is steak fried like fried chicken, served with white gravy. So not too far off actually.
  • @tablescissors67
You did GREAT, surprised at the lack of banter on their end (especially since it was quiet in there) and there should DEFINITELY be some kind of wall of fame. CHEERS!!

Just rewatching this Beard and wanted to give you props for the Kool-Aid Man reference! Brought me waaay back and I truly enjoyed it. Thanks Adam. Great content as always sir!
  • @ALEXisSPANISH
I love when the employees are completely unfazed by the dessert question.
  • @timobrown4907
Apart from the eating i think its quite difficult to travel to a weird location, sit down and eat alone and still be entertaining. Adam you've developed a great relationship with the camera. Its very entertaining and im sure it much harder than you make it look
  • @brandonabbott6225
You got a 85 oz steak well done 😂 I’m a chef, and if that order came in I’d smack my forehead and set a 45 minute timer
