My mom is 88 and can barely walk. She sits constantly, and now her legs are a mess, vascular edema, wounds that won't heal. This has taught me that my veggie diet and decades of exercise will pay off in my old age if I stay consistent. Thank you for your wonderful story, and sharing valuable knowledge. Mindset is a big deal, and my degree is also in psychology, even though nutrition is my passion. We know it all works together, mind, body, and spirit. Glory to God for our bodies ability to heal itself given the right tools.πŸ’–

In 2019 I was diagnosed with stage three B melanoma. They did surgery and immunotherapy. I had a severe allergic reaction to the medication. They told me there was nothing else they could do to me. I went to a raw vegan diet and had another pet scan last week. Everything is looking good. I started running in June and have been running all I can through the Maine winter. Definitely have more energy. I’m a 68 year old male.

I’m 70, WFPB for 10 years, so Dr. Ruth is continually inspiring. The inspiration helped me achieve my weight goal and to maintain it. LOVE HER !!!

What a great interview! I went on a vegan diet after a breast cancer lumpectomy in 2001. Incidentally, there is nothing better than fresh kale and broccoli leaves, picked right off the plant in the garden! ❀

Thanks for bringing Dr. Ruth on. I enjoy listening to this wise woman. She's my inspiration. I'm a 65 year old daily runner, too. These type of videos are a true help to me.❀
  • 89 is the new 25! I am so loving being a plant based and fruit lover! That’s my new man at my 55 years young!πŸ˜…
  • Fruits for food and leaves for medicine. The prayer of faith will heal the sick.. I couldn't walk for three full days.l wanted to go to the hospital on Monday. On Sunday l got a verse from above "The prayer of faith will heal the sick." I was repeating the same verse again and again. Exactly Monday at 12 .a.m. a power from above toched my legs and from that time l am walking for 15 years. PRAISE the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY FATHER in the mighty name of JESUS CHRIST.

What an amazing lady! I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer and have had similarly amazing results with a plant based diet and exercise, plus some other things, which I have documented since diagnosis on my YouTube channel. I just love Dr Ruth Heidrich! Thank you for sharing this.

I knew of Ruth from the Forks Over Knife movie, but it was great to hear her full story and enthusiasm for life. Something to strive for!

I'm on Oahu so I recognize many of the spots mentioned. I'm turning 74 this year and have decided to go vegan after watching Forks Over Knives and other videos on the merits of a whole food, plant-based diet. Thanks for sharing this incredible woman's remarkable journey.

If you want to chew leafy greens, choose the ones that aren't high in oxalates because of your kidneys. Most of the ones she mentioned are very high in oxalate, so please take caution darlings.
