Been hyped for this game since it was announced. Huge fan of “Journey to the West” book and Sun Wukong himself.

The Japanese samurai sword originated from the [heng Sword] of the Tang Dynasty in China. During the Tang Dynasty in China, Japan sent many official students to China to learn Chinese culture.

It’ll be the perfect addition to the game if they can add the Flying Cloud as a mean of travel in game. I know we’re probably be playing as a clone of Sun Wukong, but would be so epic. After all, Wukong without the flying cloud is like Batman without the Batmobile 🥹

It's worth noting that the main character of Black Myth Wukong might not even be Sun Wukong. In the very first gameplay trailer, the monkey protagonist was confronted by what appeared to be the real Wukong, since he was wielding the staff "Ruyi Jingu Bang", which is Wukong's signature staff. The narrator in the trailer also states that he was telling a different story that people have not heard of, so it's likely that the "myth" part of the game's name is a completely different take on the classic noval Journey to the West. And based on what the NPCs in the game have said so far, we only know the protagonist to be known as "the chosen one" or "the prophesised one"

2:58 please do not call it katana, katana is from Japanese culture. Its ok to just call it a "sword". As a chinese its really sad to see people using japanese words to refer to our culture...

It seems we've started seeing retail gameplay footages now compared to the first time we saw it's gameplay with its camera angle pushed further back, but it still looks stunning, I love the enemies variety can't wait.

I hope they add finishers like in god of war when you defeat an enemy

Even Dragon Ball was based on Sun Wukong. Goku's chinese characters is wukong. Had a long extendable staff, a flying cloud, and can fight like no body's business.

I’m truly happy this game has received a lot of support for this small team. I’d be even more excited if they continue to expand on the story of this game with DLC’s or part 2’ and 3’s. Too much to ask?

I've seen a lot of doubters accusing this game of being all style with no substance, but when it comes to action/combat games I trust your opinion more than most because of all the awesome tips I've picked up on your channel over the years – you know action games. This game finally feels real, cant wait to play it, it still looks amazing

something like the spell to immobilize your enemy now and then is quite game-changing (pun intended, haha). it allows the developers to design bosses that are just as agile as you are (or even more agile), without worrying that they're too fast for the player to handle. This will give a refreshing experience compared to the usual boss fights in which the bosses are made to be a bit clumsier, slower, less responsive etc than the player character just so the player has a chance to take the boss out

It took awhile for me to accept that this game was real. It seemed WAAAAY too good to be true, and more of a myth that would never come to be. Now that people are actually getting hands on, my god…. The hype is overwhelming

Correct me, it’s not the fire monkey, it’s a mission before the boss battle. WuKong can gain his transformation ability after defeating the sword wolf boss, because the Monkey King has 72 transformation abilities, so WuKong can transform into more polymorphic

Nice to see people were able to record them playing the demo, saw a new enemy that wasn't on the other IGN gameplay videos. I wonder if they'll drop a demo anytime soon or just in 2024. Can't wait for the full game.

I'm going to spend the next year learning everything I can about the Monkey King!!!
