  • Alcohol and cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my husband which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.
  • The correlation between excessive screen time which 'wears out the pleasure centers of the brain' and increased societal issues with anxiety and depression is eye-opening, but probably the hardest lifestyle change to implement in this day and age.

20 NO-NOs: 1. Orange juice (solution: Ī•at the whole fruit), 2. Hitting a ball with your head (he probably means every kind of "sport" during which you may hurt your head) , 3. Sugar, 4. Caffeine, 5. Nicotine, 6. Marijuana (all drugs), 7. Loneliness, 8. Having low levels of omega-3 (He says fish-oil but I strongly and passionately suggest vegan DHA from algae as most fish-oil is full of contaminants and oxidation), 9. Having gum disease and inflammation, 10. Ts toxins, 11. Alcohol, 12. Mercury, 13. Unobvious toxins during anaesthesia, 14. Barbasol shaving cream, 15. Automatic negative thoughts, 16. Unprocessed trauma, 17. Untreated psychiatric stuff (he does not mean to treat it only with medicine. There are natural ways too), 18. Media time and screen time (shrinks our brain, leads to depression, anxiety, ADHD, obesity, addiction, low self-image issues, mental health problems, even suicide) 19. Hating yourself and thinking that you are not enough and... 20. Comparing to others and thinking that everybody is better than you.

His books are excellent. Change your Brain, Change your Life really change my life. I applied everything he recommended especially diet and exercise and no alcohol. I am working hard on reducing screen time.

Dr. Amen is actually a world famous doctor and brain specialist. Far from being a scam artists, his books are very solid. Donā€™t be deceived by his soft and meek way of speaking. I am a doctor myself and find his presentation solid, scientific, practical and of profound significance.

Dr Amen is an eminent neuroscientist who has spearheaded the use of MRIs in diagnosis and treatment of brain dysfunction. This video is a short part of a very long interview. Iā€™ve followed his work for some time. ( Iā€™m a trauma psychologist with 45yrs experience)

Dr. Amen's clinic changed my life. I went to his clinic in Chicago when ptsd and self destructive impulsive behavior were tearing my life apart. The spect scan identified a problem no other doctor had ever even considered. Once I began treatment for what they found, my life immediately turned around.
  • Dr. Amen is a Godsend literally and figuratively šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜˜ Imagine a world where more people used not abused their brains šŸ˜‰

I do intermittent fasting (16:8 minimum) which makes a huge difference to how I feel. It greatly reduces my aches, pains and brain fog but when I add a cup of black coffee with cinnamon I feel these effects so much more. It also enables me to control my appetite just enough. Plus as the mother of a 3 year old who often wakes me up at night, broken sleep often gives me a headache which always starts slowing and grows throughout the day. That one cup of coffee kills my headache dead, so much more efficiently that any painkillers. Iā€™m also addicted to my mobile phone, particularly shopping (or at least browsing) and REALLY need to tackle that because it makes me feel awful.
