Tried this old gem for a change and more of a written style than my normal comments, as I felt it was conducive to that in that way.

Father, why did you create me blind? Why did you make me this way? I know only darkness, Father.

Amphibian says everyone hates the creature stage but I believed everyone hated everything after the creature stage

“You may not be able to be friends with everyone, but you can definitely eat everyone.”

“...to walk like I did as an octopus to the bathroom.”
A powerful verse. -
now spore is something i’d love to see more of in 2021
-
For added immersion, I will watch this video with my eyes closed.

You evolved from a Lovecraftian creature into a common tree.

Does he not know that you can recruit other members of your own species in creature stage? No wonder he hated that stage, that must of been hard as hell.

Honestly, a completely black screen with certain "tells" depending on what's around you provided by your other senses would be cool. Black screen, but footsteps can be detected with ears or sensitive little hairs on your body that're on the ground so you can sense the vibrations. Or being able to smell what's around you. Much more limited idea of what's around you, just outlines, based on if you have stuff like whiskers or similar that "feel" around you, that kind of thing.

SPORE!
I've been nostalgic to return here for awhile! Have been working on a few more narrative form videos lately, as I just enjoy doing the writing for commentary as an end product rather than "in the moment" types of commentary when I look at it as an overall video production, though expect more of both soon. Just experimenting to keep it interesting. Hope you enjoy! -
Bro, my dog fell asleep with your voice. Each time I pause the video he wakes up, it's so goddamn cute.

I remember trying to watch someone create a limbless blind worm species that went on to take over the galaxy lile a decade ago.

I mean, devs could have added things like echo-location and other ways to get "visual" info. There's plenty of games where you don't exactly see things, but they are still fun to play.
Although, adding such gimmick for a single mode in a game with 5 different ones is not efficient. -
Wish we had a new game like spore these days with actual evolutionary knowledge and where it really depends what parts you use and how you evolve
-
Watching this at 5 in the morning really makes you contemplate about life and society with its hierarchical structures, damn man i gotta sleep not philosophise about how a person is defined by their social interactions and relationships with others...
-
Spore is like if someone created cell stage and then realized they had 4 more assignments for the homework 1 day before the deadline
-
as a herbivore you can actually befriend everyone, you get a special ability from being a herbivore in cell stage that allows you to calm down those super aggressive creatures, afterwards you can befriend them as usual (super easy since they dont have a lot of social stuff)
-
I once became a god in spore with nothing but a blob with a cell-stage mouth
you can do anything in spore -
The best playthrough I ever had of Spore, I made my species into a race of animated Twinkies. Our bodies were reduced to the minimum size, and we only had a single eye above a plain mouth. We eventually arose to become a galactic empire, dropping bombs with enough force to level entire cities in one blow, and driving countless species into extinction, storing the last remnants of their doomed species aboard my flagship to launch into orbit at my leisure. It was a good time all 'round.

I LOVE SPORE!
One of my favorite games ever- even though its hugely flawed. Always happy to see modern spore content. Really a shame the game never received a proper sequel. A modern gen spore that applies the lessons learned from it's predecessor would be an instant-buy!
