I don't understand why they don't just sell the IP at this point it clearly still has a passionate fanbase. Sell it or actually make the sequel. A modern spore would be dope.
  • @Jabbathefrukt
Multiplayer Spore really is the ultimate childhood dream come true
  • @puiu976
I really wanted Spore's space stage to be multiplayer. Imagine growing your own empire and going to war or making alliances with different players
  • @duckso9203
27:21 you should make the damage numbers different colours that way it’s easier to know when you take or when you deal damage
  • @Dzekin
Can't believe it went from simple video on recreating SPORE's creature creator to the semi fully fledged game with it's own merch etc! h what a great adventure it was (and still is) following the progress of this project!
  • @TheStickofWar
I’m a senior software engineer and I was quite impressed with the code you put out. And you did all that without any professional experience whilst finishing University? Amazing
  • @kurenai_chi
the fact you saw this project through and went so far with it is absolutely astonishing
  • @Aladite
It's an honor to be an official pattern artist!! Here's to making this game more and more fun!
  • @PythonicIe
It would be amazing if you added a keyframe animator to the game, so players with experience can animate their own animations for their creatures, attacks, walking, etc, it would make the game even better than it already is.
  • @Erynash
I really love how some of your maps need specific parts to navigate them better. This metroidvania-esque approach seems so fitting for a Spore game.
  • At the end, where the community's creatures are scrolling, it makes me truly happy to see more then one Wilosaur. I probably still have it somewhere, but I remember before SPORE was released I had read about it in my brother's gamer magazine. After a point, my brother let me keep it because I was so obsessed with going back to those pages. LOL. But I was disappointed as hell that the Wilosaur, the mascot, never appeared in the finished product. SPORE was both one of the best things ever created and so obviously cut back on content... I love it dearly, even though it's always broken my heart a little bit. It makes me truly happy every time I see the community alive and thriving and improving on what SPORE was supposed to be. But this project of your's? A whole new game? It makes me happier then anything else. You should be extremely proud of what you've made here. It's wonderful!
  • You've just earned not only a sub, but also the heart of a young child that only wanted Spore 2 as its lifetime gift and nothing more from EA. Thank you. Keep up the amazing work!
  • @curzzlxrd
The only thing that I feel is missing is the whole evolutionary aspect. A big part of the appeal of original spore was seeing your creautre grow and becoming powerful. But creature seems like a fantastic game and I think many in the spore community appreciate it!
  • @DarkEdgeTV
11/10 intro, that was perfect - It was really insightful seeing the entire process that's gone into this. Thank you for making this, and well done on all of the well-earned success! 💕I hope Creature Creator continues to thrive, especially with it being open-source, I'm excited to see what the community does with it.
  • @mimthyss
I thought this was gonna be one of those 'thought experiment' type videos where they talk about IF they made it, what they'd do. But no, you legit coded and modeled and created and animated all of this pretty much entirely by yourself.. whilst also studying to graduate! just wow. Seriously I couldn't do this even without the added stress of irl stuff getting in the way lol you should be so proud of what you created!!!
  • @lukascreech3229
I love this whole thing, from recreating Spore, to the fact that you took things into your own hands to create the game you always wanted...I'm hoping to try and do the same with something akin to For Honor, so I'm happy to see this!
  • I’m glad EA isn’t making spore 2 because they would just fill it with transactions and maybe a few new parts.
  • @syrexnd
Spore is honestly one of the best games I've ever played. I still sometimes play this game and love to use my creativity when playing, Thank you for this project.
  • @flomojo2u
WOW, that is a staggering amount of work for an open source multiplayer game/engine! Huge props for sticking with it after so much time spent and all the inevitable setbacks!!
  • Youtube recommended me this video and it instantly caught my eye. Finished it thinking I was watching some huge youtuber I didn't know. Then I saw you got 11k subs, you are so talented you need more. Also, I love spore and will surely play this tonight.
