Reaction to Companies Second Amendment Act

There are mixed reactions to the signing of the Companies Second
Amendment Act into law.

The Act is aimed at achieving equity between directors and senior
management on the one hand, and shareholders and workers on the other.

Labour unions have welcomed the Act, saying it's a step in the right
direction to ensuring accountability and transparency for public and
state-owned companies.

Business Unity SA CEO Cas Coovadia says they welcome the move.
