The Art of Secret Hideouts

I've started to notice that, in a lot of children's TV shows and movies, characters will have some kind of secret hideout. Maybe it's a fort, maybe it's a laboratory or lair, maybe it's a giant rotten pumpkin. I wanted to talk about a few of mine that I've come across over the years. Enjoy!

A SECOND KID??? UNPRECEDENTED, CONGRATS, MAN
-
Scott you need to realize that the whole point of a secret hideout is to avoid buying permits!

0:56 "I didn't watch Cartoon Network, I wasn't a juvenile delinquent" THEMS FIGHTIN' WORDS SCOTT.

i'm 26 and still unironically watch phineas and ferb... started rewatching a few months ago and realized it's still fire.
-
Finally someone who’s willing to talk about the things that really matter
-
Oh my goodness congratulations on your second baby! As a second child, we’re honestly kinda the best.
-
This is exactly the kind of niche content I've come to expect from Scott, and that's why I love his channel.
-
“If you’re still watching at this point, I don’t think you care either” RIGHT YOU ARE GOOD SIR that part made me lol

Fun Fact: There was a Cartoon Network Christmas promotion in the 2000’s that would (supposedly) let you win the opportunity to have the KND treehouse built in real life
-
congrats on the new kid guys! hope y’all are well

I wanted the hideouts in: -recess, the Ashley’s one so cool -as told by ginger, the dog house -neds declassified school survival guide, behind the lockers

All of the Kratt Brother shows (Kratt's Creaturesx, Zoboomafo, and Wild Kratts) have really cool headquarters. I don't remember if they were all secret, but the Wild Kratts one has a bunch of tech to stop the villians from getting in.

Elmo trying to find his blankie hit so hard when I was younger

My friends and I found a bush that was hallowed out naturally and we hung out in there for weeks before the owner figured it out and banned us but it was a house, a hospital, sky kids lair, you name it - perfection of seclusion and imagination
-
Fun fact: If you put curtains up in a doorway it's almost like walking into a secret fort every time you walk through. Double points if you also run fabric on your ceiling like they do in wedding halls. (Source: My bedroom is essentially a secret fort and I wouldn't change it for the world)

You said “my kids” and I was like oh they’re planning to have more nice! But then you said the second was just out of the womb and I was like OH THEY DO! Congratulations on the second baby!!! I was wondering why you haven’t posted in a minute lol

"And you dont even need a PERMIT" 😂

Some might say the Scott Cramer channel is the best secret hideout of them all. Congrats on the new addition! :)

One of my favorite underrated secret hideouts is technically more of a house but we're chillin so thats fine: Ronald's house from The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald. Basically all of the live-action segments & the opening theme takes place throughout the house, and its straight up whimsical. Even better, they basically always exited the house by jumping into a ball pit that turned into a magical slide that transformed them into animation; which is really cool. And you just know Ronald got the permits, he's friends with Mayor McCheese.

I remember being so jealous of a kid for how cozy Harry Potter’s room under the stairs looked. I always thought such a small room seemed so comfy
