I appreciate the immediate reassurance Scott isn't giving up

I was a List Writer for ScreenRant for two months. Most tedious job ever. I'd have to write 5 click bait articles a week and only got paid $15 for each

Scott’s inability to truly clickbait us by reassuring us in the thumbnail reminds me of a time I bought a fake lottery ticket for my dad’s birthday when I was like five and gave it to him and when he scratched it and feigned excitement because he obviously knew it was fake I immediately cried and admitted it was fake because I felt bad for tricking him.

Good thing your not quitting Scott, if you struggle we all struggle together.

As a fellow youtuber, these videos of you just ranting about making YouTube videos are some of my favorites lol
  • I would love for this to be like a yearly series of "videos I gave up on this year" because it's fascinating to see where you brain started to go before you scrapped the ideas.
  • You can't be a struggler AND a failure Scott. You gotta pick one of us!
  • I respect so much that you clarified it was clickbait so everyone felt safe clicking on your video
  • 2:27 Changing the background to image results for Shego while talking about being observant is genius, Scott.

0:17 the lighting paired with the pant stripe had me thinking Scott was out here rocking a long shirt with his pants pulled about 6 inches down his thigh. Let me just say I was nervous and confused.

I clicked this video instantly because you told us that you were clickbaiting in the title. That's respect. 👍

Hearing Scott give the advice "giving up is okay (sometimes)" resonated really hard with me. I went down the college path & spent two years towards a degree that I really didn't enjoy, and would've put me in a career that would've quickly made me miserable. A great deal of people tried to tell me to just push through & finish what I'd started, but I eventually made the decision to walk away from school. I felt heavily judged & received a lot of criticism at the time for it, but to make a long story short, I spent quite a bit of time figuring out what I really wanted, and then was able to get on my own path towards something better. With full certainty I can say I am in a much better spot now than where I was five, three, hell even one year ago, and that's because I "gave up." Thank you for sharing such a powerful & undertold message, Scott, we can all keep struggling through this mess called life together 🤘🏻
  • To be honest Scott, the clips you showed in this video of your scrapped content was entertaining and I wanted to see more. But I also appreciate the fact that you want to make content that you are passionate about more than anything else. It's refreshing on this platform to see that. So many popular YouTubers just grind out videos to keep making revenue or stay on the algorithm regardless of whether or not they are that passionate about the topics they discuss.
  • Thank you for telling us that this is clickbait. That year end video scares me every year
  • @WhyYouWahYoo
This video is like when someone says “I was gonna say” and then still says the thing.

haven’t watched this guy since 2021, so glad to see him grow so much

As a small content creator I needed this video. I just scrapped a huge video I was working on and off for 2 years (literally started to cry after erasing years of footage and Scripts). I scrapped it 3 days ago and felt terrible because It seemed like a great idea for a video, but I didn’t have a full vision like you were saying. After scraping it I did pivot into a new project that I enjoyed Researching, Filming, and Editing as we speak. So yes, don’t give up. Just pivot. Thanks for making this video again like I said I really needed to hear and see this video 👏🏼💯
  • @daybykay
scott is one of the few creators who can upload the most obscure content about things i’ve never heard of and i will click on it every single time
  • I love that Scott kinda gave us the Screen Rant video while telling us he’s not giving us the Screen Rant video. 😂 Seriously, dude, I’m glad you made this video. I think sometimes those of us in the audience forget how much work YouTubers put into videos that we get completely for free. Networks and big channels have producers and writers, etc. to keep videos flowing, meanwhile there are a lot of really great quality channels like yours that have all of that weight on the creator, who maybe has an editor, and that’s it. And somehow you conveyed all of that while remaining positive and encouraging. You’re showing off those Pro Strugglr strats!
