Lyrical Lemonade founder and director Cole Bennett has become one of the most influential tastemakers in hip-hop for many reasons, but one stands out amongst the rest: determination. Hailing from Plano, Illinois — a suburb 60 miles southwest of Chicago — the 25-year-old videographer has an insatiable desire to push the culture forward, having a major hand in the careers of generational stars in Juice WRLD, Ski Mask The Slump God, Trippie Redd, Lil Skies and more. While his stake in the game stems from his intrinsic ability to bring his “out-of-the-box” ideas to life — most recently shooting videos with Ski Mask, Yeat and Lil Yachty all from his iPhone — he has sights set on bigger and brighter things. With a keen eye for creativity and visions of growing the LL brand far beyond its visuals, ‘The Simpsons’ super-fan evokes inspiration at every turn, enlightening fans on his journey, mindset and quips for success with OGM host Hakeem Rowe. Touching on the future development of a Lyrical Lemonade amusement park, a LL compilation album, movie theatres, haunted houses and many other endeavors, expansion is Cole’s main focus as of late, saying “I want Lyrical Lemonade to have many different meanings, for many different people, for different reasons.” Eyeing to become one of hip-hop’s next multifaceted moguls, Bennett looks to continue “building worlds” brick-by-brick for as long as he can, wholeheartedly uplifting the next generation of creators in our latest Our Generation Music exclusive interview.

  • “Stay true to yourself uh do what you want to do um sometimes that means taking a longer route on that journey uh but if you if you do what you want to do it’s true to you you have more more fun you’ll be more happy and my personal definition of Success is happiness so if you can be happy man you’re in a good spot everything is relative in you know people who are much less fortunate than us people who are much more fortunate than us you know the bad days the good days they all feel the same Right uh everything’s relative so uh value happiness and and take whatever route gets you to that point”- Cole Bennett

Idk what it is about him but he just has a way of being and a way about him. Like, the way he moves the way he speaks, it just feels really chill but also so charming. And you can tell he's just fully himself like, he seems genuine and not trying to be smth he's not. I wish he continues growing and getting more recognition and that he keeps doing good great things. He's so smart and knowledgeable hope he keeps getting places.
