Mini vlog A trip to Northumberland, recent artwork and mini haul

Hello everyone and welcome back. This video is a collection for footage I made in May and focused around a short trip I took to Northumberland. I start by sharing some of my travel art supplies. This is still very much a work in progress for me but I thought it would be interesting to document what I took and show you guys. Although I didn’t end up doing any life drawing on my trip, I still found time to do some painting which I show in the video. We also went on a boat trip to see some puffins, seals and other sea birds. Sorry if the footage is a bit shaky but it’s difficult to film on a boat. I also show a small art haul from the trip and try some kadi paper for the first time. I really hope you like the video even though it’s a bit different and please let me know in the comments if there is something you would like to see.

I will hopefully get back to painting my ocean life sketchbook soon and thank you for all the awesome suggestions for creatures.

I love the artwork. They are all beautiful. I would love to see more rock pool art. Yes, do more hawthorn trees. Yours look amazing.

Last year I went whale watching in Washington state. We saw a grey whale, orcas and seals. My first time seeing all, it was incredible. Hope you have better luck next time. The seals are so cute!

Firstly, I am in love with your travel paint box, it never occurred to me to make one myself! I easily could with the right box to start with, so thank you for that! Secondly, I'm glad you had such a lovely holiday and got to see your favourite animal. I have to go to a zoo to see mine, but I know how it feels when you do. Your art is so lovely and it inspires me. Something in your style shows that you enjoy the process and it reminds me to just keep painting. I know it sounds cliché to say that, but hey, sometimes cliché is the truth.

I really loved seeing your artwork from your holiday. I like the colour palette you use when painting. Puffins are my favourite bird too. Not much chance of seeing them in Australia mind you we do have tiny fairy penguins which I have seen a few times. Your fairy is charming. It would make a lovely Christmas card if you used some holly leaves. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏼🎨✨💕
