Dr. Jordan B. Peterson sits down with mathematician, author, and theologian Dr. John Lennox. They discuss the axioms and dangerous aims of transhumanism, the interplay between ethical faith, reason, and the empirical world that makes up the scientific endeavor, and the line between luciferian intellectual presumption and wise courageous exploration.

Dr. John Carson Lennox is a Northern Irish mathematician, bioethicist, and Christian apologist. He has written several books, and was a professor at Oxford and Green Templeton College (Now retired) where he specialized in group theory. Lennox appeared in numerous debates with questions ranging from “Is God Good” to “Is There a God,” and faced off with academic titans such as Richard Dawkins, Michael Shermer, and Christopher Hitchens, among others. Lennox speaks four languages – English, German, French, and Russian, has written 70 peer-reviewed articles on mathematics, co-authored two Oxford Mathematical Monographs, and was noted for his role in translating Russian mathematics while working as a professor.

I met John in person several times when I was young, he visited my parent's home repeatedly. He is a humble man with a great sense of humour. I love him 🥰
  • @MattSweetman
When Lennox said that God made a sacrifice on our behalf that we could not make, I was overwhelmed to the point of tears.

JP always looks forlorn, with the weight of the world teetering on his shoulders while JL has a constant jolly smile and a deep joy in the Lord that just envelops him!
  • Peterson has a lot to learn from Lennox in fairness. The simplicity of thoughts, the biblical strength and scientific rigour of Lennox are exceptional.

1:18:26 From this point on Jordan repeatedly reframes the conversation to discuss the "psychological application" or utility of the Christian story, and each time, John brings the conversation back to gospel. I applaud John for bringing the abstract conversation to the reality of the hope we have in Christ! 👏

John Lennox is the CS Lewis of our time. What a blessing it is to be alive at the same time as he is! God bless him with a long life so that my children and grandchildren can also follow him and his work.
  • @Laura.templeton
John Lennox is one of the few truly brilliant minds of our times and yet he is a humble man loving God. ❤
  • @chri7im
So beautiful how John repeatedly weaves the gospel into his answers with so much wisdom

Dr. John Lennox has a way of explaining very deep and complex concepts in a way that non-academic people can easily understand. I appreciate him so much.

I'm a 16 year old born again Christian. I have been waiting for Jordan to have a conversation with Dr. Lennox for quite some time now. I have once again learned a lot, thank you.

What a blessing to hear these two men interact. If anyone can get Jordan Peterson further down the road in his walk of faith in God, it's the marvelous John Lennox. They're both international treasures. ❤

John Lennox is the person I've been waiting for Jordan to have a conversation with for years. I really do hope they have many more as Jordan needs more of the Theological side of these ideas that he discusses.

I'm an accountant and an economist. I'm also a Christian. Meeting Dr. Lennox gave me comfort in the sense that I'm no longer alone in my stand point. Have a huge admiration for this man. ❤ Thank you Mr. Peterson.
  • @rhondablack5880
John Lennox is one of the best apologists! I love him and thank God for him. ❤
  • @richardjones3917
First time I was hoping Dr. Peterson would be quiet a little and let Dr. Lennox speak more. Or ask questions to develop Lennox's ideas a little more. I feel Dr. Peterson is exploring his thinking process out loud. It's fascinating most of the time, because he's a deep thinker, but I felt Dr. Lennox more coherent and concise in this conversation. Still, very grateful this is available for us! Thanks Dr. Peterson.
  • John Lennox is a brilliant brother in Christ. Love that man and his ministry.
  • I appreciate John and Jordan so much. Both their voices are so necessary.
