Firefighters continue to battle the Park Fire in Northern California, but their fight is far from over. Officials expect the wildfire to burn for at least a month. Officials have said the fire has so far destroyed at least 134 structures and smoke from the Park Fire and hundreds of other fires burning in the U.S. and Canada is now blanketing several states. Here's ABC's Alison Kosik with the details.

  • He should receive the same punishment all those trees and homes did!
  • @rancors1
Make him pay all the damages before they let him out of prison.
  • @Stw077
Lock him up. 25 to life.
  • Be grateful we have such brave and tough men and women who fight these massive fires.
  • @prepro595
Hard to imagine how terrifying a fire of that scope is.
  • Very selfish creature, he also has done time for SA on an child.

Life in prison would be lenient.

When it only takes one crazy person to do that much damage in Cali I’d say you’re all toast

The guy was already a 2 time felon, with this it’s an automatic 25 to life in CA.
  • Two years ago an arsonist from California came to Montana and started a forest fire that destroyed homes, killed livestock and nearly killed several people. He picked the wrong state. His home for the next 15-years is state prison.
  • Time to sue California for the air pollution. Signed, the neighboring states!
  • We had a fire bug in my hometown. He eventually burned down his sister's house, and she was in the house. Her mother and sister had to each take two of her four children to raise.
  • So he started the fire by pushing a burning car down an embankment?🤔 I can't help but wonder if he was trying to hide something in that burning car-as in some sort of evidence of a possible crime he has committed.

How do they find the person that did this? Like, how did they know to go directly to that individual. It fascinates me to see how investigations work with seemingly random acts of violence.

He should get life in prison!

Makes no sense! Although not really preventable, 400 million people in the US, 1.2 million actual firefighters. 2700 HOT shots, 10K fishing and game workers and ask for volunteers and we'd be on the 100k personnel. This is the best we can do? We have self driving cars! We have the largest airforce in the world! We.cant bring plane after plane after plane all night all day and drop water booms?.. We can however send billions to Ukaraine...
