Several earthquakes shook the Sierra over the last few weeks, begging the question: when will the next one hit and how bad will it be? Experts say the quakes could be the fault of Northern California’s biggest body of water.

  • Surprised you didn't mention the 330 foot tsunami, that reverberated around the perimeter several times, after a landslide took out the western flank. Doesn't have to be an earthquake to cause a tsunami in a lake. Most lake tsunamis are a result of debris avalanches.

  • Gloom and doom, gloom and doom! Up next: The Suns next phase will put Earth in danger. All life will end. This and more after the sports reel. Back to you Tim.
  • You’re worried about Lake Tahoe, as opposed to the rest of California being on the Fault line, with eroding coasts and daily seismic activity?

Glad I don’t have to sell my lakefront house now 😂🤣

Watching this while laying in a bed at a Lake Tahoe lakefront house we rented for 4 days. 😬
  • Last tsunami was between 12 to 14 thousand years ago the waves took a whole day to dissipate. for more information about the history and ecology of lake Tahoe please check out the UC Davis science center located in incline village I think on club drive?
  • If there is enough shaking at the bottom of the lake, would that dislodge all the 1950's/1960's mafia body dump victims and cause them to float?? Finally answers to what happened to Freddo!

I’d be more concerned about a large underwater landslide causing a Tsunami in this particular area

This is a very important reminder for people to develop a plan and prepare for a significant emergency that can happen any time. There could be a lot more going on than we might realize that could be building up for much bigger events that could happen sooner than so many would be believe to be a real possibility .
