Looking at terms for helicopters, as a unified group they are called a 'Formation'. But when they are poorly coordinated or not moving in unison they can be called a 'Gaggle'. For aircraft in general you can call them a 'Squadron'.

Looking at some other names for groups of animals, I'd love it to be "a descent of gunships" like for woodpeckers, or "a troubling of gunships" like for goldfish.
