My family were also slaves to the Khmer Rouge in 1975 in Cambodia we didn’t have much food to eat we’re always hungry. one day my mother took my hand and we walked to refugee camp in Thailand looking for freedom. I am here in America now . This movie is very sad 😔

CRIED LIKE A BABY ALL THE WAY THROUGH † LET FREEDOM RING BROTHERS AND SISTERS 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
  • I love that Jack's a pitbull, he's showing their true nature when they're loved & not abused. Their true nature's why they were called "nanny dogs", ie they were used to guard babies & children. They & English staffies are my fave breeds 💜

This is the most deeply beautifully spiritual movie I've ever seen. Illusions which appear to legitimize a cause for hate are dissolved and transformed into an understanding of deep spiritual love.

I cannot and will not live on this earth without my dog. He came to me at a special time, when I needed him, he is beyond the closest being to God, that I am forever grateful to him, for being here with me. We are one together, and we will never be apart, even in death. And I thank god daily for bringing him to me.

I really felt emotions everytime the dog shows sympathy towards other people in the movie, even if he got hurt on war and even some people died and the dog sees all the heartbreaks of the main character. The dog really acts as a human for being a considerate and a loving animal inspite of the hardships of War ❤️❤️❤️
  • It's always sad to have War . Thank God there's no more slavery . Where to love one another . A good movie .

  • That was a wonderful movie. I thanked the Lord for taking care of him and his dog, mother and what family he had left. Kirk was actually his brother then, thank the Lord they were friends.

I actually read the book. I can't believe I waited almost 15 years to finally see this movie. In college I was a history major and the civil war is my favorite subject.

  • What a true story of this young man experience and it was rather difficult but I love how he was brave and forth to the end. I was so thankful to the reverent who helped him, and all the soldiers who worked with him, I was so happy when he found true forgiveness to forgive those evil slaves master and to go with his life helping others to be free, Only when Jesus comes back and we get to heaven there will be no more hate. We are all Gods children and he wants us to love one another. I truly enjoyed watching this movie.
  • This movie and alike should be showing each day on TV, we as a parents can change this world if we raise our kids with empathy and respect for each human on earth. I have hope...

True history kept from today's youth, but not forgotten by people f age like myself. Though I never knew this story it is a true account of what we need today, unwavering faith to overcome our enemies and forgive them.
