Refreshing to see a movie where our people can act without calling each other the N-word and more profanity, shoving guns in each other's face, abusing our women and promoting ignorance, vulgarity and criminality. I'm 40-something and a family man with little tolerance for the promotion of street life, prison "culture" and strip club behaviour now.

This movie taught me alot to be grateful for what I have it could be worse. Its not about what i dont have its about what i do have , i may not have much but i am truly blessed 🙏❤️💕 and I truly thank God for that.

This was an excellent movie for a Saturday evening! I never heard of it before, but I definitely heard of and have seen all the major actors. Thank you for this upload. These are the types of movies I enjoy! No violence, nothing explicit, just pure talent!

My two favorite characters were Miss Gracie and Franklin, for the compassion they showed others when they were feeling low and down on their luck. Despite the horrible mistreatment by his father, Franklin had a good heart in understanding the struggle of the seamstresses who worked for his pathetic father. And I'm glad that Lucy got all of her money back from that no good bad guy.

I watched this for the first time some years ago and it stuck with me! The dignity of a person is so very vital! Without it one feels lower than dirt. There are so many things in life that can take a terrible toll on a person and even break the human spirit therefore we must as fellow humans help each other along. 🙏❤️

Excellent movie That gave beautiful history into the black man and the importance of clothes and looking good. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I love these period dramas. Reminds me of what our ancestors had to go through and how lucky some of us are now. Sometimes I think I should have been born in another era or perhaps I already lived in one.

This was a really good movie to watch& the director did a very good job picking out all of the greatest renowned actors as well,dispite all the bad & negativity that took place back in those hardship days..The message towards the end spoke to my spirit and it has encouraged me to continue keeping & fighting the good fight of enduring Courageous Faith in God,while pushing forward and believing in yourself & don't give up when life situations become harder to bear,I really believe that this should get a Grammy Award for this,in my opinion 😊
