Both Cardiologists I saw after my triple bypass, told me to take statins, and if I didn't I would DIE within a year and a half. I took them for one month, I felt terrible, like I'd been in a car wreck! I stopped and the pain went away. I told them I will not take them, PERIOD Its been 5 1/2 yrs, I'm still alive....

This Doctor deserves a medal of honor for his bravery to tell it how it is! 99% of doctors stay silent and don't care about their hippocratic oath or their ethical beliefs! Most are just after the big bucks!!!
  • So proud of fellow Texan, Dr. Nadir Ali. Because of his willingness to say hard things to his colleagues, I consider him a personal hero.

This guy knew my dad and mom. I used to see him at dinner parties. His son went to school with my sister and I. Hell my uncle worked at the same hospital as him for years. I can’t believe he’s doing talks like this. Kudos to him!
  • I actually lie to my doctor and tell him im taking the statins in an effort to have him stop thinking I am a difficult patient. When I first said "no, I wont take them" he was literally lost for words and just stared at me. I had also been on TRT for 6 months (through an online clinic" and when I told him this he was shocked and says "I want you to stop that, its going to kill you". So... he and I dont have the best relationship now. Oh, and in the same visit I told him I was doing carnivore.... you can imagine the look on his face. So ya... he thinks I'm insane. 6 months later all my blood counts have improved greatly and ive lost 35lbs... i reversed metabolic syndrome and pre-diabetes and dropped my triglycerides from a heart attack inducing 8 to 1... HBA1C back to the 'good' zone and ALT to healthy numbers as well.... and he ignores all of it and all he cares about is that I am taking his statins :(

This man deserves a Nobel prize. He's a wonderful brave person. Thumbs up and subscribed!
  • As a young, fit person with cancer, a high HDL, low triglyceride and high LDL with doctors pushing statin down my throat not only for the High LDL but cancer too , all I want to say is THANK YOU. I love you. ❤️. You’ve just backed what my intuition been saying. The body knows best and it’s part of the healing and repair process from all the surgeries and chemo I’ve had. Now if only I could find a doctor like you to help me heal the cancer. 😊 For now least I can trust my body more for the high LDL.

My cholesterol was always was a litle bit high, under 240 but over 200. I am 80 years old and have no heart problems or high blood pressure. I only am slightly hypothyroid. I refused statins because 400,000 person study in europe determined that people with higher cholesterol lived longer

This is an eye opening presentation! Several years ago, I took statins on my doctor’s recommendation. After about a year, my body felt like Muhammad Ali had used me for a punching bag. I stopped the statins and it took almost a year before I felt normal again. When I reported this to him, he was not happy; but I was because I felt better. Still, every year he measures my lipids and every year he recommends statins. Every year, I respond that I would be willing to discuss statins with him, to which he gives me a lifeless smile, closes his laptop and moves on to his next patient.
  • I started the PCSK9 inhibitor and my LDL dropped to 30. However, for the first time in my life I developed tendonitis in both shoulders to the point that I couldn’t tuck my shirt in to the back of my pants, scratch my back or reach behind my head to stretch! Your lecture completely validated my suspicion that this drug was causing inflammation in my tendons. Now am not guilty for stopping it!

I think your very last sentence was so brave and courageous! You have revealed such a pure soul and I wish there were more doctors like you in the industry. God bless you for truly trying to help people... instead of fill your bank account. ❤️👏🏻
  • Doc is very good. He has reinforced what I knew about statins. Got into a debate with my wife's Doc due to her forgetfulness and eventually got her off the statins in two steps. First step was half it for couple of months and then stop all together. Her memory has improved since then. Sticking to Keto diet.

What a stunning lecture! All the best of health, love and prosperity to this brave DOCTOR! Thank you!

I am currently "non compliant" and my doctor is wondering the same thing I am. Why do I keep coming to see him? Keto and IF have worked miracles for me and so many others. Big pharma is not cheering us on.

Good for you! I am a Nurse Practitioner and I prescribe Carnivore Diet to my Diabetic and obese patients. Some of the doctors I work with disagree. They tell me I’m going make their conditions worse. I laugh at their notes. The patients who do follow instructions have results like yours. I have taken patients off insulin and they get well when they have the ability to feed themselves a Proper Human Diet (as Dr. Ken Berry calls it) aka carnivore diet.
  • My anecdotal comment is of a friend of mine who died of pancreatic cancer. He was a dentist, very fit and proactive in health matters. He had an annual check up and had elevated cholesterol. He was never close to being overweight but lost more weight and went on statins. He went from being healthy and vibrant looking to almost frail appearing. I was concerned about him. One day he calls me and tells me he has pancreatic cancer of which he died in six weeks. I have wondered whether there might be a connection with statins because he actually seemed to decline after he started them. Of course, there is no proof of a connection but as a pathologist, I have never been a big fan of statins. There is something disturbing about the band wagon effect big pharm has on standard medical practice. I feel as though studies, journals, medical boards, and best practices can be tainted by the money big pharm throws around. As far as I am concerned, the same thing has happened with MRNA vaccination for Covid.

You absolutely need to be applauded! Thank you for the science-backed data. I worked in cardiology for a long time and I've been saying this.

Thank you so much Dr Ali for the enlightenment! My mother's physician was prescribing Statins her but I told her not to because of Dr Stan Ekberg's substantial health videos and she feels good. She has blood cancer and is taking oral chemo pill, she is taking high blood pressure maintenance pill and a blood thinner pill because she had amild stroke 15 years ago. She is alsk doung Intermittent fasting and lowcarb diet. She said she feels good but everytime she has a blood test every month, her physician prescribes her Statins because her LDL is high. She refuses to take the Statins and she feels good. The nerdy information you shared has made her decide all the more to NOT TO TAKE THE STATINS!! More power to you!!
  • I was on a very low dose of statins for about 15 years…. As I got older I thought my muscle soreness was caused by my age. When I became so sore as to debate whether walking down and up stairs was worth the pain, I quit the statin drug… To my surprise most all of my muscle aches and pains went away…. I felt 20 years younger……. Of course because of the muscle pain I had stopped exercising and gained weight….. I am absolutely sure the quality of my life would have been better if I never took statins… Every one is different, be careful………..

I met Dr. Ali at Low Carb Houston. What a salt of the earth kind of guy! No pretension whatsoever. I chatted with Ali and Ivor Cummins, Jeffrey Gerber and Dave Feldman at a local eatery.
