This mid engine platform has taken the corvette into a different realm of fast

The horsepower wars are getting ridiculous lol. I'm sure this will have something close to 800-850 total output.

We can’t even order a c8 z06 and they are already showing the zr1.
  • Re: the wing. It appears to me it is a winglet similar to what you see on airline jets. That would smooth out the air coming off the edge of the wing and reduce drag.

Zr1 850hp and the zora will be 1000hp with zr1 tt motor with electric assist
  • I think when they put “unthinkable” in there, we should be looking at 1000hp all in… either way, it’s going to be incredible
  • I am at loss on why Chevrolet seems to be rushing the ZR1 into production and then soon for retail and I'm pretty sure when dealerships start taking orders it will be a hot mess just like the ZO6 was who has the most money to put down for a deposit and who wants to pay the most over MSRP?

Austin are you gonna try buy the new ZR1? I picked up my 2024 Z06 convertible on Monday. All black exterior with red black interior. Chevrolet must say did great job with Z06 and impressive vehicle indeed.🤔

The rear spoiler end plate looks like the curve at top could help rear sway at high speeds?
  • My understanding of the end plate purpose of the rear spoiler is to allow more air flow downforce to remain on the wing of the rear spoiler rather than letting it slip off the tip reducing maximum downforce, just like on today’s modern wing tips that extend vertically above and below the tip of each wing to increase airflow over and under the wing to maximize lift.

I would keep the c8z06. Once it’s unlocked TT and tune would put it at a easy 1,000 hp.

Nice analysis of the promo video Austin. In regard to whether this is the pinnacle for the C8, I'm wondering if GM has left room (at the top) for a Zora model that would add hybrid and/or AWD to the ZR1. No matter...ever since the launch (no pun) of the C8, these are very exciting times for Corvette.
