My own personal research...a combination of Googling and cross-referencing with other YouTube videos...has determined that this concert took place in 1980 at Le Spectrum in Montreal, Canada...and. indeed, it was the Ramsey Lewis Quartet, not Trio. The other musicians were Henry Johnson on guitar, Gregory Williams on bass, and Frank Donaldson on drums. In any case, this was a truly awesome concert that wonderfully showcased the late keyboardist Mr. Lewis' truly incredible musical prowess.

It was way back in the summer of '77 I had the pleasure of seeing Ramsey Lewis and his band at The Ontario Place Auditorium, Toronto, Canada. Still the best 5 dollars I've ever spent......!

Thank you, RAMSEY LEWIS, for doing your part to help tame mankind with your gift and talent. Your music was part background soundtrack to our once young life and continuing. It was a pleasure meeting you and giving incite on working with Charles Stepney and Maurice White. Quite the learning experience for myself. May GOD bless your legacy and surviving family.

Mr. Ramsey Lewis is one of my influences in learning how to play the piano/ the keyboard...I saw him at the Hampton Coliseum, Hampton Jazz Fest. twice along with other well known music artists...we love you🌷 Rest In Peace🌷Mr. Lewis🌷

Jazz pianist, three-time Grammy winner, and NEA Jazz Master Ramsey Lewis, who successfully crossed over from the Jazz charts to the Pop charts, most notably with his smash hit “The In Crowd,” died peacefully at his home in Chicago on the morning of September 12, 2022. He was 87.

1975? Listen to that chorus effect on the bass on some parts. Probably has to be closer to 1980.
