As a young person (21), it's very special to me that good music can connect people of very different backgrounds and ages. I love all the comments.

Great album by my #1 Jazz pianist. His most productive period was improvising with his Trios, before selling out on the Disco-Fusion trend in the late 70's

Somebody told me that my son, a young 20 year old jazz pianist, reminded her of Ramsey Lewis, so I came to see what that was all about. High praise indeed.

My father had a case of 8 tracks in the car when I was a kid growing up in the '70's. This was one of my favorites.
  • Merry christmas everyone! This album showed up in my recommendeds just after getting home from the parents. Ramsey Lewis blows me away with his chops, first track is so trippy sonically!

Music has been the most influential thing in my 67 years, this album is number 1.
  • I had this on 8 track as well. Loved it. I have carried that melody from "Concierto de Aranjuez" with me ever since. Chick Corea used that melody for "Spain" in 1973. "Aranjuez Concerto" is a classical guitar concerto by the Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo. Written in 1939, it is by far Rodrigo's best-known work, and its success established his reputation as one of the most significant Spanish composers of the 20th century. See Paco DeLucia. I love how great music lives on.
