never did shark fishing from the beach before. mostly cause i don't have any big Conventional reels right now.. but I did shark fish Friday night at Sebastian inlet, FL. the rig I was using was much lighter then what you had. 3ft of 200LB mono with #12 single strand wire 174Lb, the hook was a 9/0 circle.

Very cool video!!! I've caught a few nice sharks but not land based!! Take care and tight lines!!!

When rigging your mono leader portion you should use beads at each side of the slide swivel so it doesn’t slide over your sleeves and thimbles to protect the crotch of the mono in your barrel swivel!

Great tutorial man, I appreciate it and definitely will be looking into that for the Penn Squall 50. About how much does that set up run money wise?

Hello sir. I usually snell my circles but have started crimping. By just crimping it like in video, have you had any issues with hook setting? As where a snell forces it to curl in ?

I used 6ft of 400lb coated cable and 14ft of 400lb mono and I got broken of on the mono so now I use 20ft of 400lb coated cable double crimped both ends
