Spring is upon us and with the comes big fish like tarpon migrating up the coastlines. Want to know what eats 100lb tarpon? Bull sharks. In this video we are shark fishing from the beach in southwest Florida, as usual. I also had a rod rigged up for tarpon, however we did not see any rolling. The evening started out with a small bull shark, around 5'. We then caught a 5' blacktip shark, followed by two bull sharks around 7'. The second one likely weighed over 300lbs! Another great night of land based shark fishing.

Awesome vid bro that must be a scary feeling when you kayak out to drop your bait knowing all those bulls are below you
  • Hey, I just bought the same set up as you. I love it, I have just ordered mono and braid. I was wondering what you use (knot) to connect your braid backing to mono topshot?

Do you have a buddy running a spotlight or floodlight?  I can't get any usable video at night with our gopros.
  • Hey PB Fishing I was going to buy the same reel you have I was wondering if since you bought it you had, had any issues with it? and what the biggest shark you have caught with it (cheers).

I like how you guys in the east consider that ruff conditions...LMAO.  Come to California or New Zealand we will show you what Ruff conditions really look like.  But with that said we DO NOT get the BAD ASS Sharks that you get.  We would be lucky to have surf that easy.

I see that some of your past posts here and on Instagram were published in December/January. Were the fish caught in those months or is that just when you posted? I'll be back down to Sanibel/Fort Myers around Christmas. Are there some sharks to be had off the beach in the winter? Thanks. Look forward to your future posts!!!

hi!, nice shark!! I need to buy a reel for coast fishing(live bait to 200-300meters for tuna or wahoo 30-80lb go to big spinning reel 900grs(as spheros 20k pe6/500m) or squall50wl 1500grs with 80lb braid line? both are similar price 200$ and sometimes go to kayak......better trolling with small reel, but this squall could to caught big tuna?

when you guys set out for or five rods and baits and one rod hooks up do you reel the others in or leavem in the water? just curious it seems like you guys always have a bunch of rods set up in a row and it seems like you would get all tangled with the others if one rod hooked up.
  • Are you coming back to lsc for the opener? Also I recently bought a Calcutta 400b and I was wondering if it would be fine throwing double 10's the odd time with out wearing the gears. One more thing what are some good baits for the opener on lsc? Thanks, and great video.
  • Hi. I have a quick question. I am from Michigan and shark fish once a year. I have only caught 3 sharks, two 60-70 lb blacktips and one ~120 lb bull. I have yet to figure out how to remove the hooks. I have just been cutting them. I don't like leaving the hooks like that. I use 12/0 circles btw. What is the key to removing the hooks? What tools do I use? I want to get an arc dehooker but I'm not about to pay $80. Thank you.
