Epic night of shark fishing! We set out to the beach in search of some big sharks right at sunset. We had two 50ws out with big baits looking for big sharks, and a spinning rod out with a mullet trying to catch a blacktip shark. The first rod that went off just after sunset was the spinning rod. At first, we thought it was a blacktip shark as it was taking very fast runs. It continued to do this for 20 minutes on lock down drag, and we soon realized that we were dealing with a much more powerful shark. I took over on the rod and fought it for a half hour before getting tired. I then passed the rod to Chris, in an attempt to put more pressure on the fish and get it in quicker as he was fresh and not tired like I was. After about 45 minutes we finally got the shark to the beach. The shark was not removed from the water, was dehooked, and quickly released to ensure that it swam off healthy. Incredible night of land based shark fishing!

Such an underrated channel you deserve way more subscribers... And respect for putting the fish's life over a few pictures
  • Very cool video dude I like that you guys used a spinning reel to shard fish off the beach. Seems like everyone now a days uses conventional, tight lines 🎣
  • The big ones always seem to get hooked up on the smallest rod in the water haha.. great work

Awesome video! I'm going to be in Sanibel next week, and looking to try my luck and hopefully hook into a shark or two. Do you ever fish near Sanibel?
  • awesome video man, im debating on getting 2 prevails for my spin fisher and slammer. I really wanted one prevail and one mojo surf, but damn covid is delaying everything....how do you like the prevail? Are you still enjoying it? Also how is it casting wise, do you get some good distance? Much appreciated

When you have the bait sitting out on the Penn spin fisher, do you have the drag all the way loose or sort of tight?
