  • I loved the last statement "seems like we are all on the same page, just different parts of the page"
  • Imagine being a drop-out then becoming a power ranger a year later.
  • I once heard “don’t confuse schooling with education” Really stuck with me
  • @abdo22022
I think that's the friendliest middle ground yet.
  • Is it just me or do they all seem like really decent human beings
  • I was doing fine in college as an English major until I accidentally asked myself the question, "What am I doing here?" Everything fell apart from there.
  • I would say most of kids go to college because their parents. So parents could brag to their besties.
  • dude i HATE school. but if i had already put in four years and only had THREE MORE CLASSES i wouldve finished anyway just to have my degree incase
  • I think college should be free: dude in the back** “I’m broke” felt that
  • Moral of the story: everyone is different. College is NOT for everyone. People suffer from mental illness and family issues. You never know what someone has to go home to. Never judge someone based off of their education. Edit: I’m glad people understand me and liked my comment, I suffer from depression and doing anything is exhausting, especially school. I want people to know you don’t need college or extra education to represent yourself in your own beautiful way, no matter what anyone says, you do you, your life is your life.
  • Some of the most intelligent and wise people I met in my life were drop-outs. They usually have deep life experiences and have an extremely hard work ethic. But I also agree if you have a chance to go college, you should go and do it. Basically some people believe college is something absolutely necessary and if you don't it, you're failure, these people are not wise and narrow minded, life is too varied and complicated to set every decision in black and white, there's a lot of unpredictable gray area.
  • I like how this group was entirely calm and relaxed, they weren't aggressive with one another. It was really refreshing to hear a serious, investing conversation where they seemed to actually enjoy it.
  • I like the idea of attending college more than college itself. College is not a walk in the park. So many sleepless nights, emotional breakdowns, morning coffee runs, and more crying. It feels like a never ending rollercoaster ride.

Watching this again now I’ve dropped out of university. I feel like such a weight has been lifted off my chest it’s unreal. I can finally focus on trying to better my crap mental health, and finally start living my life after 19 years

As a society, we need to get rid of the stigma that surrounds manual labor jobs. People tell you throughout life that if you don't go to college you are going to end up as a construction worker, plumber, or electrician. They say it like it is a bad thing. These jobs are critical to the upkeep of civilization, and you can make a lot of money in these jobs! College just isn't for everyone, and it should not be treated as a necessary step to having a good life.

What kind of degrees did these people get? Y’all should do an episode between: STEM vs Fine Arts.

Before I dropped out, My father gave me two choices. 1. Drop out - get a job - grow up fast (I was 16) 2. Stay in school - go to a catch up school even though you're smarter then that I chose option 1 and for the longest time, I was looked down on by friends, teachers, and even my own family. I had words thrown to me by my little and older sister for not finishing school, my Father always bagged on me to get a job and my mother didn't say she was proud of me anymore. I was hounded harshly by many people, and I remember one of my teachers saying "You will regret this" That went on for a year and it was constant. I'm successful, I live alone in my own apartment in a fancy place with a very nice job. And I have to say, the education system can teach you all about math, science, LA, and history. In the end, it never taught me how to do taxes, that was my father. It never taught me how to be a kind soul and get up to get to work on time, that was my mother and father. It never taught me how brutal the real world was, that was my little and older sister and ex friends. It never taught me skills that prove that I'm smart, that was my 13 years of IT Experience with my father. Education is important to prove worth, but it will never teach you to survive. And surviving is a very lucky affair only some people have made it through. The education system adds stress, depression, anxiety, etc. Those years of our lives that we're pressured to do these things we'll never get back.
  • "i feared i would be judged if i didn't go to college".  The irony that only the Asian dude walked up 💀
