Matt Reeves doesn't get enough credit for understanding that somebody having an identical twin is just objectively funny

Anyone notice how huge the club is? Looks like a location you’d see in an Arkham game.
  • I love how he doesn't use rooftops or vents and simply knocks on the door politely

The way dude just walk in without giving af is just 👌

The way he just walks in is straight out of Batman Damned, fucking magnificent.
  • I love that you can see his youthful rage throughout this. The impatience, how he kept going after that guy even after tossing him over the rail, how he tried to take it easy with simple strikes but just gradually got madder as it went on, and almost whacking that guy with the bat while he was already down. Easily the angriest cinematic Bats we’ve seen next to Affleck Also, that armor is something else
  • I like how he threw Penguins insecurities about his status in the mob, in his face. Like “yeah, your reputation isn’t what you think it is. Don’t place yourself that high” lol.

1:26 THIS SHOT. I wish more fight scenes were filmed like this. The camera lingers for such a long time allowing you to see the full choreography play out. Excellent scene

Man this Batman is walking into the club like a boss and just getting the job done
  • The walk in was one of my favorite parts of the movie. And there were a lot of good moments but his walk exuded nothing but straight confidence

Colin Farrell and the script really did a good job of making one not immediately compare him to Danny DeVito. The writer/director saw his character as Fredo Corleone among the villains.
  • I love the fact that Batman's voice becomes noticeably more 'growly' in these bits, more akin to Bale's Batman. His voice during his scenes with Gordon is noticeably more whispery/natural by comparison. It's a cool little nuance of Pattinson's performance. His Batman is obviously trying to appear intimidating in front of Penguin/his enemies, but this is not always necessary when he's around allies. Keaton's Batman did this too, as did Conroy's to a certain extent. It works better than Bale's Batman who constantly used the 'Batman' voice whenever his Bruce Wayne donned the suit, always trying to one up himself in terms of how intimidating it could sound. Pattinson's Batman is much more layered and subtle by comparison.

I make it my mission to walk to the shops with as much conviction and badassery as this Batman
  • @Kaplan20
This Batman leans more heavily on the detective/investigator aspect of Batman. Here he is rousting a bar for information!

2:50 I love Penguin's brazenness distributing drugs right in front of Batman. He knows the cops will never go after him. Gotham is so broken, its problems run so deep that Batman is powerless to do anything.
  • I love how you see him get into the club in the three different ways you’d expect Batman to. Here with brute force. Next using his power and influence as Bruce Wayne. Then after that he stealths his way in.
