  • All these years I never understood the fear the criminals felt when they see Batman until I saw this film, the sense of paranoia they portrayed is amazingly realistic.
  • @chaihill1837
The criminals being afraid that Batman is hiding in the shadows is literally the same fear that children have when they think there’s a monster in their closet. Incredibly done.
  • Went to see this in theaters. Felt like the first 10 minutes of it I was watching was a horror/suspense movie. Incredible take on Batman.
  • @Murph1331
This was the most OG way for Batman to be introduced, I truly don’t think anything could ever top this intro. No pearls, no flashbacks, just Gotham, and the fear the Batman brings with him. Absolutely brilliant sequence
  • @KDuff-2015
“When that light hits the sky… it’s not just a call… it’s a warning…. To THEM” this opening is legendary

This scene will never not be addicting. The Batman introduction is just pure perfection.

The silent focus of the dark alley way and hearing the slow heavy footsteps of Batman is so unsettling yet so awesome!
  • @macisr
The way they convey that Batman uses the darkness to instill fear on criminals is amazing. And like Gordon said in the nolan trilogy, he likes to leave the batsignal on to remind them that he is there,
  • @Badicalz
The robber backing away from the dark alley in fear of the possibility that Batman is there, is everything that I wanted from a Live Action Batman film. This movie was an absolute masterclass of filmmaking.

They introduced Batman without even showing him... they didnt want us to know WHO batman is... we all know that... they wanted us to know WHAT batman is... pure genius
  • Everything in this opening scene is just perfect the dialogue the music the darkness and the Batman that we always wanted
  • @jcrofficial4309
" Fear...is a tool. They think I'm hiding in the shadows. But I am the shadows. " What a great line to express that this Batman was going to be different, more intelligent.

Everyone is talking about Batman’s intro but how bout Riddler’s introduction? Pure Hitchcock. This film is a noir masterpiece.
  • I love how he's not beating up the bad guys for justice or peace or honor or any other noble endeavor; he's beating them up because he's pissed off and needs someone to take it out on. He keeps reclaiming vengeance for his parents murder every night instead of seeking actual justice, and the whole movie is about him realizing that he's come a lot closer to being like the Riddler in his quest for violence against the corrupt, and the process of him accepting a higher calling as Batman to actually do good for the city and protect it in a more substantial way than just going out at night and beating up street thugs.
  • 7:46 One of my favorite shots in the entire film. You can't even see his face yet you can feel the fear he has
  • This opening scene alone can be a thing of it's own honestly. Its so good.
  • @isaiahvoss
When Bruce Wayne says " Fear is a tool. When that light hits the sky, it's not just a call, it's a warning" while the theme in the background is just utter perfection. A cinematic masterpiece.
  • @herodot86
this was by far the best opening I have ever seen in my life. pure perfection!
  • Perhaps one of the greatest Batman entrances in cinematic history....
