Thank you . Now I know why the increased in eye and sinus pressure. The Ct confirmed this problem.
  • What about a tumor that is growing next to the pituitary gland, pressing on it? What would be treatment for that?

Very knowledgeable and easy to understand, thank you for making this video! For YEARS, I've been dealing with a sudden onset of hormone dysfunction and was diagnosed with PCOS at 21. When my symptoms started, it was after I started taking the medication called Geodon when I was 20. Suddenly I noticed that my mental focus and clarity were gone-overnight; then the weight gain started, I started feeling more depressed than usual and very moody and subsequently was put on medications for that, which didn't help anything. My breasts grew even bigger at the age of 20: I went from needing a B cup bra to a D cup bra within a year, and I wasn't pregnant! I was on Geodon for a couple years, but in that short amount of time, it wreaked havoc on what was previously a well-balanced and healthy body with no issues, to suddenly it felt like my body turned against me. I'm now 39, having trouble conceiving despite fertility treatments, my breasts are still the same size they grew into, can't lose weight, and still have the PCOS diagnosis. I came across this channel and now I'm glad I made the doctor appointment I made-it's definitely time to find out exactly what is going on here! I don't want to self-diagnose, but I'm seriously wondering if there is a possibility of a prolactin secreting tumor, screwing up everything in my body.

If prolactin hormone level is 103 ng/ml then it may lead to pituitary tumor or not?
  • Hello Stanford, I have had a pituitary tumor since diagnosed in Rutland Vermont on May 12, 2003. The PC and also Dartmouth neurosurgeons said it was too risky to do transphenoidal and that I would have serious problems. Since living in Burlington Vermont, any time I have complained about the tumor, which is now a macroadenoma, since 2008, noone will do even anything at all here at UVM medical center in Burlington. They have told me not to worry about it, be lucky it has not killed me, or BS that pills will boost sugar levels. I appealed to neurosurgery directly and they had patient advocates call me. Nowhere. THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING. I have all types of symptoms in which they said is a mental problem. Lots know here but noone cares or not their problem in Vermont.

I'm a 42 (1 month shy of 43) year old male and my prolactin levels were good at 4.9. If my prolactin is good but Testosterone level is at 233 (which is still low for my age) - would i need to do an MRI for the brain?

I’m a trans woman and recently found out I have a cyst on my gland which is causing me to produce oestrogen so I guess I’m lucky?
