The frustration of opening it every time is one of the greater reasons some reviewers recommend it, as you will use the cover display more and won't get lost in mindless scrolling.

Of course a folding phone is going to be pretty fragile to cutting implements, but the fact that the outer screen was still functional when just attached by a single cable is wild. Pretty cool teardown!

As someone who still owns a Flip 3 after over 2 years now, I can only support that Flips are pretty durable. Right after getting it, I was asked multiple times if I wasn't scared of breaking it after a short time or if I was scared of breaking the screen with my fingernail. None of which has happened. I dropped it while it was open soooo many times by now, and it only has some exterior scratches on the frame and nothing else. So I am very tempted to update it to the Flip 6, but mine is still completely fine and working without a problem. Also, I don't think I can ever go back to normal brick phones
