I have several MOFI records, and like you, no way am I gonna go through all that hassle for a few bucks. DSD or whatever, they sound good to my ears.

The less people in a class action lawsuit, the more cash you get. What MoFis I have, we're bought second hand. I certainly will not be buying anything new from them

Am I pissed off about being lied to/overcharged for their mastering practices? Hell, yes. Do I want them to go out of business so I can get $50? Hell, no. I just want them to be honest and for their products to be priced accordingly.

King's X - In The New Age The Atlantic Recordings 1988-1995 (2023) ......... just released ....... good one for filling in those holes in your collection ........ ;-)

I'm just glad that it went this far and that MOFI were forced to learn a lesson. Hopefully other companies get the message that being transparent about the mastering chain, and not being lied to about it, is important to the record buyer. It tends to be a lie of omission though, and if a record's pressed from a CD but they don't say anything, there's probably not a case there.

Agreed, I wasted my time just reading, by the time I would get all the required info I figured I’d make about .25/ hour. If I was litigating I would have made them give us a free record of our choice. I guess the only one who made money on this was the lawyers, again!

In the early 1990's I was in one of these class action lawsuits against Aiwa. I can't remember what the deal was but I had one of their stereos and worked great for years. I got a check for $50.00 bucks.

I cannot imagine a lot of people are going to jump through all those hoops for those options.

The issue for me with the MoFi one steps is the overcharging, why not do this MoFi, 1st, charge a reasonable amount, 2nd on proof of ownership of other One Steps provide the owner with a discount code/s for direct purchases of other MoFi products.

The fish don’t lie. You’re passionately fickle. Possibly fashionably pickled. Like the vinyl!

I'm over it, I threw away the settlement bs. Waiting for some One Step releases . They are expensive, but so are the AP UHQRS . But.....wow, they're good !!!!! Aloha
  • @jmnb
Here you are another "miracolous" product!! Vinyl record scratch cleaning... Restore the groove damages.... Too good to be true.... What do you think?
  • I just ordered the joe bob’s last drive in from terror vision, thanks for showing them off

Heyoooooo, you've been my number 1 for getting my start in vinyl! I was curious if you had any thoughts on Fluance's new RT81+. Im considering it for my first turntable and from what I've learned from your videos it seems like a great choice! I'd be using it with the SpinBase, to get the most out of my own personal starter set!

I have only 2 mofi's (I live in UK.) I bought Bob Dylan's 'Oh Mercy' and 3 days ago Dire Straights 'Brothers in Arms'
  • @robertcudny1839
I'm done with MoFi 1-step records. Don't see any reason why I should buy digital format on vinyl. There are other companies that reissue 100% analogue LPs.
