  • Congrats on finding an appropriate joke that actually has relevance to your channel. It's something that definitely changes the sound reaching your ears. I love the sincerity you present it with.
  • Chris, it's nice to see you moving a-head in your testing protocol while not getting wigged-out over it.
  • @Af1st1
    Brilliant lol so dead pan!
  • Kidding aside, wearing a hat does change the sound of a system, but my family already think that I'm crazy by sitting between the loudspeakers when listening to music, wearing a hat would result in a call to mental hospital.

As a regular viewer of your channel, I already knew the gag before I even clicked. But you played it so straight that I couldn't help but chuckle throughout. Well played Chris!
  • I have found the safari style pith helmet to be the best overall hifi head gear. It gently grabs the sound and amplifies it slightly and also simulates a sort surround sound effect. You should give it a try.

My girlfriend's 50x Beaver produces a warm and somewhat spacious sound, while my own gimp mask restricts the soundstage
  • Briliant topic. We should match the style of a hat to the music. Excelent delivery of very serious subject, all audiophiliacs should pay attention
  • @mq42
Nice hat trick. I usually go for the ballcap but when I have company over, I prefer something a little more stylus.

The early 80s painters caps with the rear mud flaps will give the widest sound stage.
  • @BeaSides
🤣This explains so much about why fedoras are popular in the jazz crowd, flat caps in the garage community, and baseball caps for those just buying for investment/resale. 😂

love that you can have some fun amidst the usual reviews. Thanks for a fun video and a good laugh. Also, want to thank you again for giving me some personal direction in my hifi journey. Ok, on a completely different subject, do you trim your own beard, if you go somewhere, where do you go? I don't live very far from you and need to find myself a good barber for my beard. Thanks for what you do and your time. Keep up the great work.

On a serious note, it's definitely a noticeable Improvement when I remove my glasses.
