Nissan 350Z with Motordyne's Shockwave TDX V2 exhaust and Motordyne ART pipes.

Everyone shows this exhaust at full bore, so here's an idea of what it sounds like in normal driving with a bit of revving afterwards.

The mid section straight pipes were replaced with an optional HFCs, everything is v-band connection.

Motordyne Shockwave TDX2 - ART pipes - HFC Module - MREV2 - 5/16th Spacer - Adjustable Rear Swaybar.

I absolutely love it, really, still sounds great every time i drive it, good for a daily driver as it's just a great sound when driving normally. It's an amazing sound when i get on it for the weekend :)

Awesome! Thanks for the response, I'll have to get a hold of Motordyne next paycheck lol

This is my daily driver, so that should give you a good idea on how good it is. I fitted the ART pipes and XYZ pipe first, then added the rest of the TDX2 once i'd saved. If you order it through MD direct, tell Tony i said hi :)

They're an option from Motordyne, come with everything to swap out easily in about 5 minutes. Look great for the weekend, using the stainless rolled tips for normal driving.

Sounds good, gonna be next year when the weather gets better and i have more time though.
  • @f2cmadmaxx
Yeah, so it's sat on the cross member, you need to adjust the y-pipe and the mid pipes to lift it up off that cross piece, i had a similar problem and still have to tweak my ART pipes in order to give it more clearance.

I think im gonna make the switch for next summer...I currently have a much cheaper topspeed pro1 exhaust with berk high flow cats and it drones like helll....did u put tue art pipes on after or did u do both at the same time
  • @f2cmadmaxx
I think it faces down, i'm trying to remember.... I looked at the angle of the inlet and angled it upwards towards the floor. It doesn't quite make sense it's only rattling when idling though, check your mount methods.

nice, lets hear some revs and drive bys now!
  • @f2cmadmaxx
Do you mean what it would sound like with stock cats on the car? It would be quieter, but still have the same great note.

Bro you from oregon what part?? I wanna hear the motordyne exhaust in person. I bought a nismo s tune for my g35 sounds sick.
  • @f2cmadmaxx
They come with the Shockwave for the 370, but they're an addition to the 350 version.
  • @HEAVYARM7
Lucky bastard, dying to get this exhaust for my Z. Never heard this one in person though, what do you think of it? Thanks.

Dumb question , when installing the muffler that connects to the xyz pipe , does the motordyne label face up or down ? Reason i ask is cuz i installed mine today and i set it with the label up and i get a rattle :/ ... But only when im idling
  • @f2cmadmaxx
I got them in the package so i don't know the individual price. I know they're working on the website at the moment, but best thing would be to call Motordyne and they'll be able to sort you out with them :)

Thanks for the feedback...I hear tony at MD is awesome but I will be picking it up used...I have found a seller and im just waiting for him to take it off his car
  • I'm wanting to get this setup pretty soon for my 07 350z but will it make a noticeable difference in the sound quality if I happen to not get the mid section HFCs? Or is it just performance wise better?
