  • I lived in Turkey for years. The poor are rich in tradition, customs, family, country, and each other. They are as rich as the Turkish rich. Unlike America, and I’m American, all are treated pretty equally in Turkey. It is beautiful. Unlike America, poor Turkish neighborhoods are truly safe.
  • I've been to Turkey twice for extended stays... Starting in Istanbul & traveling to the Hatay region (Antakya & Samandag) close to the Syrian border... Yes, I saw rich & poor. But, ALL were beautiful & respectful... And I extended love & respect to them All... Well done video!
  • What I found interesting is that you were able to walk freely without any fear in the poor area. Here in California, one would never dare walk the streets in the poor areas as it’s very dangerous.
  • Poor or rich, it doesn't matter, I love Turkey because I,m from Poland. Turkey is lovely.
  • Даже в бедных районах очень уютно.
  • This is the part I love ❤️ to see. This vlog shows the real Turkish old neighborhood I love the old building structures, thank you for sharing this amazing beautiful buildings. 👍🥰🇺🇲♥️🇹🇷
  • Merhaba. Bizler biriz. Zengin, fakir, doğulu, batılı, siyah, beyaz, başka mezhep, başka din... Allah herkesi bir yaratmıştır... Sevgiler, selamlar 🙋‍♀️👏🏼💫❤🧿
  • I would like to see more of non touristic Turkey. There are already plenty of videos about touristic areas.
  • Hi Olga, this poor Neighberhood was not very old ..the people what are living there they built their Houses without payment to the Govermnent Land and stole it we say to Houses like this "GECEKONDU" ( built by night ) in this area living many People from East Turkey what moved from the poor Eastern site of Turkey and have Kurdish and Arabic influences and they built this area in the 1960-1990 and many yeras it was a criminal part of Izmir , now many Houses torn down beacuse of the ancient excavations and the goverment give them Apartment flats etc...But yes it is in Izmir one of the poorest places from the City. About Food is everytime everywhere in Turkey a good and cheap Option to find a LOKANTA ;)
  • I like the low cost lifestyle in Izmir. One of the most beautiful n charming city in Turkey.. I love exploring alsancak, cesme, bornova and kusadasi. There is so much to explore in Turkey. I love coming back!
  • Hi Olga, seems you and your husband felt safe even in the poorest areas of the city, I do not miss one of your videos, keep making more ✌
  • I’m Swedish and have lived all over the World, but the only time I ever saw an E-type Jaguar was in Istanbul 😮
  • Turkey is going through urbanization. A lot of those areas are probably illegal settlers from countryside. We in Albania are going through the same process. It's a painful process since urbanizing illegal settlements is costly. Turkey is neither rich nor poor country.
  • Im sure this poor town is much more safe than city centre of many countries
