Learn how to make your own stretcher for a painting. Making a stretcher is a great woodworking project and it's a great skill to have if you're interested in making your own artwork. I'll show you how to make a 34" x 40" stretcher for a canvas painting and I use materials that are readily available at your home store. I'll provide a materials list and the design plans with dimensions on my website.

It's not actually a stretcher if you can't expand the corners with canvas keys :P But I'm going to start building my frames like this.
