What the hell are we witnessing?

We all saw what Connor McDavid did in game 4. He broke the all time NHL Playoff Assist record in a 4 point night as he and the Oilers put a beat down on Florida 8-1. After that game, McDavid said they needed to "Drag em back to Alberta". Well, that was gonna take another Herculean effort but by God, that’s exactly what we got. This was, about as good as it gets when it comes to Playoff hockey. Tensions at all time highs, momentum swings both ways, big stops on both sides of the ice from Skinner and Bobrovsky, bodies flying everywhere, absolutely sickening stuff from McDavid and just jaw dropping action right to the very end as Tkachuk made an incredible diving effort to save a goal. You add records being broken by McDavid and Bouchard (all time assists by d man) and we had ourselves a game! A game that honestly left me questioning what in the world we are witnessing right now. I cover it all and more in todays NHL hockey video!

Neither a Florida or Edmonton fan, I can’t help to wish for Connor McDavid to raise the Stanley Cup. The likes of him you don’t see everyday.
  • @VangeliRock
As hockey fan I loved Conner's statement about dragging em back. As a leafs fan I can't imagine Matthews saying anything near as much and with such conviction.

If you're a real Hockey fan than you got to appreciate witnessing a player as ridiculously talented as McDavid . He's truly exceptional .
  • If the Oilers can pull off the reverse sweep, Edmonton will burn down and no one on that roster will ever pay for a meal again in Alberta.

That's EXACTLY the type of game I got up for at 2:00am my time - bonkers! Let's go OILERS 🇩🇪🇨🇦
  • @canadianbeeph
I don't care who wins. this has been the most entertaining hockey I've seen in years. Neither team has anything to be ashamed of.
  • Didn't really care for both teams... Was really watching just for fun. Was even in the Oilers Haters camp... But have to admit... Seeing that team play with heart is simply forcing my admiration. Hearing our Canadian anthem at the beginning of each game might help me root for the Oilers too. They say only crazy people never change their minds... So LETS GO OILERS!

What we are witnessing is called "hockey history". Old-timers like myself who have been following the Oilers since I used to go watch them play in Edmonton during the WHL days --- before they signed Gretzky and became an NHL Stanley Cup dynasty---- have seen this story before. But a whole new generation of younger Oiler fans and NHL fans in general, have not. This is just the first chapter. We are on the verge of Oilers and Connor McDavid actually winning the Cup, and it's a fantastic thing to see.

Last game of the season in Edmonton, you know the crowd is going to be insane. All I hoped for in this round was a good series. I thought (as many others probably did) the series was over after game 3. Now I got my wish, it's a great series and this is probably the most exciting final I have ever seen.
  • @555ontario
Yes! We needed this. We now have a series. This is great for hockey and we get to see, Connor McDavid, demonstrating what the best player in the league can do for the sport. We now have more story lines, narratives, and it's game on! He has been brilliiant and hockey, showing it's the most exciting sport of all. 😊
  • Holy shittt, I'd be fine with either of these teams winning since I don't have a dog in this fight. There's reasons I'd enjoy seeing both teams lift the cup, but man it would be soooo satisfying to see Mcdavid win it all. He's so obviously the best player in the world and has been, he's a next level generational talent and the ONLY thing he hasn't done yet is win a cup.
  • @kermitefrog64
That was an incredible game. Cheers to Edmonton from the Golden State. Okay Oilers lets get to game 7 and bring the Cup with you.
  • lol, McDavid making that statement was with conviction, confidence and determination that only a player of that caliber can make! Either way folks, hockey fans are experiecing what we experienced when Grekzky was doing the same thing back in the day! Embrace it folks! Who knows when the next Grezky/McDavid phenomenon comes along and awestruck you! 😊 PS! if Edmonton wins game 6, they win game 7!😉
  • @mysterycheez
I'm from Edmonton and I support the Oilers. After the first three losses, I was so depressed. I expected to lose game 4, as well. Now with these last two wins I'm happy no matter what happens. It would be soooo exciting if they could come back and win the Stanley Cup, but even if they don't, I'm happy with what they've done.
  • @raze5346
Honestly no one knows and if anyone says they do they are kidding themselves, lets just get ready for game 6 and see what happens. This is turning out to be a excellent cup final!
  • @smiffyOG
"Panthers werent really trying in game 4, they want to win in 5 at home" -stupid people
  • @Mulukkis
I've been saying for years that the hockey world needs to see McDavid play in the finals. The guy does not disappoint.
  • @ryans413
If the Oilers win game 6 I think it’s over for Florida
